During its tour, this highly innovative vessel also achieved the Guinness World Recordsâ„¢ for ‘fastest crossing of the South China sea by solar power ‘as well as the ‘fastest crossing of the Atlantic by solar power’.

The MS TÛRANOR PlanetSolar catamaran has reached the Canary Islands, 21 days after leaving Monaco at the start of the 1st solar boat expedition to circumnavigate the world by boat solely powered by solar energy. MS TÛRANOR PlanetSolar will stay at Gran Canaria for maintenance till Friday.
