This year’s Monaco Yacht Show has reported a huge success. Attended by 33,000 participants, there was a total number of 103 luxury superyachts on display, such as the 67m Alloy sailing yacht Vertigo – winner of the 2012 MYS design award.

This year’s Monaco Yacht Show will boast a spectacular array of 103 luxury vessels, 73 of which measure over 40 meters in length. The largest vessel on display will be the Royal Huisman 90m megayacht Athena.
Luxury charter yacht Silencio (ex Perseus) as well as sailing yacht Enterprise (hull C.2173) will be both exhibited by Perini Navi at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show. The yard will also attend the Moscow Jet Expo, and subsequently the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show with charter yacht Zenji (ex Santa Maria) on show.
Winners of the 7th edition of the World Superyacht Awards were unveiled on May 5 in Istanbul, Turkey. The Motor Yacht of the Year has become the 77.7m Feadship superyacht Tango, while the Sailing Yacht of the Year award has been received by the 67.2m Alloy megayacht Vertigo.

67 metre (220ft) Sailing Yacht Vertigo, previously known as yacht AY41, is wonderful and unique yacht design by Philippe Briand, currently under construction at Alloy Yachts in New Zealand. Yacht Vertigo is the largest yacht ever built by Alloy Yachts as well as the largest designed by the designer. Her extensive construction is overseen by the Australian project manager Andrew Senn. She will be launched in December 2010.
Sailing Yacht Vertigo is to be launched in New Zealand in 2010 by Alloy Yachts. The huge 67.2m (220ft) ketch rigged superyacht Vertigo was formally known as AY41 and she was designed by Philippe Briand and her interior design is the work of Christian Liaigre.
