Aboard the exclusive charter yacht CALLIOPE
Built by Holland Jachtbouw and launched in 2012, motor yacht Calliope measures 42.28 m (139ft) and is a semi-displacement aluminium vessel designed by renowned Langan Design Associates with exquisite interior by Rhoades Young.
Her interior can be described as contemporary-classic, with weathered limed oak finishes, contrasting the stylish classical architecture, complemented with modern furniture. One of the most important features of the superyacht Calliope is her offset spiral staircase, boldly connecting the three decks. Panoramic views up through the sweeping underside of the steps make it a striking centrepiece.
The vast interior areas incorporate an informal lounge and dining area on the main deck, which can be separated on demand by a hidden shoji screen to create the perfect setting for an intimate dining experience aboard this magnificent vessel.
The Owner’s stateroom boasts a private library, a full beam lounge and his and her bathrooms with dressing rooms. Flooded with natural light, the cabin provides a powerful visual connection with the outside surroundings – an excellent feature when chartering a yacht in such amazing destination as New Zealand.
The bridge deck features mainly teak, with the sky lounge making the most of the full beam. The whole aft deck and saloon merge into one inside-out cone, thanks to the large sliding doors that open to the aft deck. This vast area is an excellent place to enjoy some leisure time, while the Calliope is at anchor.
Charter guests aboard the luxury superyacht Calliope are looked after by a dedicated and professional crew of nine. She is powered by twin diesel engines of 1,924 hp (1,435 kW) to a maximum speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. The vessel was designed and built to Lloyds and MCA classifications.
