Arcadia Yachts are pleased to announce the delivery of the state-of-the-art motor yacht ARCADIA 85S – an all-new special edition of the Arcadia 85, boasting a sky-lounge. She was constructed for an American Owner and designed as a family yacht with fantastic exterior functions and beautiful interior aesthetics with the sensation of an ‘open space’.

The layout and the functional living concept offer plenty of space thanks to the linear design of the superstructure and the vertical line of the bow. The living spaces are more expansive than those usually found on yachts of a similar size. Her unique features include design solutions that integrate solar panels into the vessel with navigation while also concentrating on the navigation performance.

The first hull of Arcadia 85S boasts improved soundproofing capacity index, replacing the PVC for the fore part of the hull with Balsa core sandwich structure. The advanced semi-planing hull which allows efficient performances together with the very light superstructure in aluminium significantly reduces weight and fuel consumption and related running costs of its low-power engines .

At 25.90 metres (84.95ft) motor yacht Arcadia 85S has a full load displacement of 67 tons. She is powered by twin MAN diesels R6-730hp each (optional engines 2xMAN 1000hp), giving her the maximum speed of 18 knots and she can comfortably cruise at the speed of 16 knots, as well as 12.0 knots. Her range is approx. 850NM @12.0 knots.

The new Arcadia 85S boasts a new sky-lounge concept, which can be transformed into sheltered tri-deck, entirely closed off and protected thanks to 360° windows that can be raised up to meet the hard top. This entire upper deck area is very flexible and can be utilised in any weather condition, depending on the owner’s desires. The third deck features a wheelhouse, a lounge with sofas and coffee tables, a wet-bar and, on the exterior, a sun deck.

The vessel was constructed with a semi-displacement NPL type hull, offering exceptional sea keeping qualities and noise reduction, for excellent comfort on board. The combination of the advanced hull and the light superstructure allow for great performance with low-power engines, with significantly reduced fuel consumption and related running costs.

Solar cells of latest generation are integrated between external and the internal surface of double-glazed panels fitted on top of the largest part of the superstructure. The 36ksqm of solar panels – each composed of hundreds of high-performance solar cells – installed onboard the Arcadia 85S, an advanced and ecological system, supplies up to 3,5kw, are enough to guarantee self-sufficient energy for various equipment and electrical systems, like refrigerators, water circulation, toilettes, lights, A/V, electronics, while recharging batteries. This means the power needed on board while at anchor, excluding the air conditioning system, is supplied “free of charge” all day long by the solar panel system and converter rather than the generators. It results in a significant saving of diesel oil, less pollution and more comfort on board thanks to the substantial reduction of noise, vibration, no gas emission while enjoying your time close to the swim platform. Each double-glazing panel contains a special gas named Krypton, which guarantees a high thermo-isolating coefficient, up to 18° of thermal cooling between interior and exterior temperatures, the equivalent of a 20 cm brick wall.

The layout and design of this luxury yacht were created with harmony and perfect flow of interiors and exteriors in mind. The deckhouse is built of double layered reflecting glass, providing the interiors with plenty of natural light and airy feeling.

The fantastic aft deck lounge boasts a well-protected cockpit, an ideal place for dining, as well as a large sunbathing area to the stern for relaxation. The accommodation boasts four guest suites located on the lower deck, which include a spacious owner’s stateroom situated amidships. The large VIP situated forward boasts a double bed and a dressing. The addition two cabins are with two single beds each. Four crew are accommodated in the yacht’s bow with great spaces. There is also a technical area as well as a tender garage with a 4-metre tender and a two-seater Jet Ski.

The main saloon offers an intimate ambience and provides space for up to eight guests. The aft deck, on the other hand, has a more casual setting and is well protected against the elements, offering a fabulous area for guests to relax and socialise.

The interiors are characterised by modern furniture ‘made in Italy’ produced by well-known Italian design brands such as Poltrone Frau, Cassina and B&B. Almost all the interiors boast loose furniture providing the option of modular layouts. This version of Arcadia 85S has an open-space galley to the dining area.

Mr. Renaud Canivet of Ocean Drive sold the yacht in-house and followed the building process right from the beginning.
