Visitors to the Yacht Technologies stand (QS76) will learn how the latest innovations in communications can help deliver seamless performance and reliable communications – wherever you are in the world. The business, which is renowned for developing unprecedented marine solutions, will also use the show as a platform to challenge people’s common misconceptions about superyacht communications. It will encourage owners to exploit the untapped potential of an end-to-end, fully serviced communications network.

Trevor Bond, Head of Sales for Marine and Yacht Technologies explains: “As a global innovator of internal and external communications, we know only too well the considerable benefits that a well-considered communications package can deliver. However, all too often, when people think of superyacht communications the first thing that comes to mind is satellite domes and antennas. Although these are crucially important, we want to change this mind-set by demonstrating that communications doesn’t just start and stop with a broadband link.”

Providing a fully serviced system solution, Yacht Technologies’ optimised global communication package includes the design, configuration and installation of a raft of onboard communication requirements. These include turnkey VSAT, VOIP telephones, private GSM networks, Sat-TV and secure internal and external IT networks.

Yacht Technologies also offers a full range of airtime services for both VSAT and Inmarsat Fleet Broadband. And, as a Radio Traffic Accounting Authority, it can provide the full suite of legislative requirements for any yacht, whilst tailoring airtime packages to give users the highest level of performance and the best deal for their usage needs.

Trevor adds: “All too often communications only becomes important when it doesn’t work, whether that be through voice disconnection or frustrating black spots or data speeds. However, thanks to today’s advanced technological and innovative solutions, communications can be effortless for the lifetime of the vessel with all systems working in perfect harmony. In fact, when a communications solution is optimised across the entire onboard network and is seamlessly integrated with navigation, security and entertainment, it can provide the ultimate user experience.”
