Providing the same level of comfort as well as service one might find in Monaco to the extreme ends of the Earth, from Greenland to Patagonia, the latest Sanlorenzo motor yacht 42 EXP is a beautiful, long-range explorer, presented by Sanlorenzo during their annual meeting at Yacht Club de Monaco in Monaco on September 21. Sanlorenzo 42 EXP superyacht offers safe access to rarely visited regions of the world and a variety of tenders and toys designed to explore these areas.
People actually want more and more to have a lot of toys on board, to carry a sailing dinghy for the children, and to have fun with friends.
The explorer yacht 42 EXP provides the stability, safety and range that can unshackle owners from normal yachting restrictions and allow them to explore remote and un-spoilt cruising destinations with a more fuel efficient yacht.
These kind of yachts are designed for long-range cruising with the accommodations and facilities an owner needs to spend months at a time on the water.
Following this increasing trend, Sanlorenzo entered in this niche with its philosophy and its peculiar style, introducing at the last Monaco Yacht Show the Sanlorenzo 42 EXP yacht.
The idea behind the new Sanlorenzo motor yacht 42 EXP is to match with these concepts, and to develop a yacht that includes these characteristics.
The Sanlorenzo 42EXP yacht offers more volume compared to its size, less consumption for extended use, and a viable option for those who are downsizing. She provides self-sufficiency, the ability to carry extra equipment and a wide variety of toys, superior sea keeping with reduced draught for coastal navigation, long range and fuel efficiency.
Great attention is paid to the environment and its conservation: the 42 EXP yacht is classified Green Plus and can remain in bay at anchor for 48 hours without switching on the generators, getting rid of emissions, vibrations and noises.
The result is an intriguing design that does not squeeze in too much, but gives appropriate space to key elements of the project. The standard layout will offer four guest cabins on the lower deck, and one full-beam master suite on the main deck. The lower deck will also offer comfortable crew quarters, the captain getting his own cabin on the upper deck.
The aft section on the lower deck will offer a beach club with bar, sauna and dive station.
Still on the lower deck is placed a huge and well organized fitness area, with a counter-current pool and a well equipped gym.
The main deck aft is an informal area with shaded aft seating, while the aftermost part will make a sunning area with great views when toys are launched. The upper saloon can be opened to the aft deck to give fresh air.
Fitted with the very latest technology, Sanlorenzo 42 EXP yacht offers unparalleled comfort and space, inside and out, together with a reduced need for maintenance that gives owners the chance to enjoy even more time at sea.
The style of the décor is in line with the general conception of a long range yacht: extended use of classic kind of wood as mahogany and teak, matched with a sober, elegant and timeless furnishing combined with intense colour leather, generating a relaxing atmosphere for the guests. The use of space and light, the references to naval culture and tradition, the choice of high quality and sobriety materials obtains a look of simplicity and elegance.
Two Caterpillars C32 Acert with 970 kW (1.319 HP) or two Mtus 8V 4000 M63 with 1,000 kW (1,360 HP) give a speed of 15 knots, in order to offer, thanks to a 50,000 litres fuel tank, a 4,000 nautical miles endurance at 11 knots continuous speed, while the service intervals are sensibly reduced.
The new Sanlorenzo 42 EXP superyacht has been already tank tested and the project is fully developed to start he construction. The chosen materials are steel for the hull with aluminium superstructure, for a strong, long range and all condition vessel.
