90m/295ft ATHENA is ready for charter to the America’s Cup in Bermuda, which runs from the 26th of May until the 27th of June. Comparable in size to the iconic S/Y MALTESE FALCON, which is only 2 metres/7ft shorter, superyacht ATHENA is truly a sight to behold and her on board amenities reflect her grandiose appearance.
Built in 2005 by Royal Huisman and featuring the interior and exterior design talents of Rebecca Bradley Interior Design and Pieter Beeldsnijder Design respectively, sailing yacht ATHENA is the world’s largest aluminium hull yacht. She won the Show Boats Awards 2004 Best Sailing Yacht over 40m category, as well as the Best Sailing Yacht 36m+ and Best Interior – Sailing Yacht categories at the International Superyacht Society Awards 2005. The effort put into her excellent refit in 2011 was recognised at the World Superyacht Awards 2012 and she made it to the finals for the Best Refitted Yacht.
Luxury yacht ATHENA is filled with traditional touches, and her classic interiors are no exception. As well as her sumptuous main salon and wet bar, the main deck also has a foyer, formal dining area, a library and an alfresco dining area.
The bridge deck is just as impressive with its own lobby, media room and the open air salon from which you and your guests can watch all the action in the America’s Cup, or for the best views anywhere on board, watch events unfold from the crow’s next at the top of the mast.
With an emphasis on experiencing life on the water, sailing yacht ATHENA has a stellar collection of water toys, which include:
- 2 x sail boats
- 2 x paddleboards
- 2 x kayaks (1 x 1 person, 1 x 2 person)
- a surfboard
- a wakeboard
- a kitesurfer
- a waterslide

The accommodation layout is designed for up to 10 guests over 5 cabins: 1 Master suite, 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. An experienced crew of 19 will ensure that every guest has an exceptional time throughout their charter.
