Charismatic businessman Stefan Ackerie from Queensland has promising plans to construct a towering ‘icon of vision’ to mark his faith in the future of the dynamic marine industry of Gold Coast, a fantastic Australia yacht charter location.

A sister to the iconic South Brisbane Stefan Skyneedle, rescued by Stefan after World Expo in 1988 to prevent it being moved overseas, the 80-foot Tower of Vision will be constructed at his boat dealership, Stefan Boating World in the Gold Coast Marine Precinct at Coomera.

A household name through his chain of 50 high-end hairdressing salons throughout Queensland, Stefan has raced and designed off-shore power boats for 40 years and is well known for slashing the Bass Straight record in his signature pink power boat – a record that still stands unbeaten to this day.

The Tower of Vision is set to mark the official opening of Stefan Boating World in the Marine Precinct, Coomera, where he offers customers the complete boating experience, from new and used boats, Yamaha motors and Yamaha Service Centre, to finance, insurance and chandlery.

“The Gold Coast Marine Precinct is a true powerhouse of the boating world and it has a big future,” Stefan says. “The Tower of Vision will be more than just a landmark – it will give life, energy and inspiration to all the passionate boaties in the area.”

Stefan is a keen advocate of the upcoming Gold Coast International Marine Expo (17-19 October), which will showcase some of the best boat builders in the world, headquartered right here in Coomera.

‘’The Expo is such an amazing success story and with the expansion of the site to cater for the demand of exhibitors, there really is something for everyone,’ he says.

‘’From kayaks and alloys to superyachts, fishing equipment and everything in between … it’s a perfect opportunity to get afloat before the busy summer season.’’

You certainly can’t miss Stefan Boating World when you turn into Waterway Drive in the Marine Precinct, located immediately behind Dreamworld. Stefan’s signature pink powerboat is parked out front, inviting buyers into his huge showroom and boating facility.

Aside from the Tower of Vision, Stefan has future plans for some exciting new structural designs at his dealership including an LED wave canopy and boat-themed offices.

“It’s a bit of fun and it will certainly draw a lot of attention – but the main thing is people enjoy their experience at Stefan Boating World and get the boat of their dreams at a dream price,’’ he says.

Tickets are now available online for the 2014 Gold Coast International Marine Expo from October 17-19.
