Doyle Sails NZ has released the photos from sea trials of the 37m charter yacht Moonbird (ex Midnight), built by Fitzroy Yachts to a design by Dubois Naval Architects. Moonbird yacht boasts the biggest ICE sails produced to date. ICE is an entirely new and unique UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethelene) fibre, developed by the Doyle Stratis team, following the market demand for a creep free and highly durable sail membrane. Below are the photos of Moonbird from her sea trials, which took place in the lovely Spanish yacht charter destination – Palma de Mallorca.
