Pearl Yachts has added a new series to its current range with the PEARL 80, a motor yacht with a 24m/79ft L.O.A. and a beam of 6m/20ft. First revealed at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November, the PEARL 80 series had its debut in Europe at Boot Düsseldorf in January, showcasing its design from naval architect Bill Dixon of Dixon Yacht Design and interiors by Kelly Hoppen.

Constructed in vacuum-infused GRP, a gel coat finish in white presents a pristine appearance. Extensive windows run along the hull to create a bright and naturally lit lower deck, while on the main deck the conservatory-like roof to fill the galley with light.

“Apart from the obvious attributes of style and performance, the PEARL 80 wins by being adventurous in design,” Noted Bill Dixon “Offering clients unique and interesting design solutions to enhance tomorrows yachting lifestyle.”

Award-winning Kelly Hoppen MBE is known for her passion creating high quality timeless interiors using a favoured palette of neutral tones and greys. Three different interior styles are provided for the PEARL 80 series – StudioTaupe and Luxury:

  • Studio offers rich browns and bright, invigorating living areas with stripes incorporated into the design.
  • Taupe uses pale wooden panelling and furniture with fabrics in earthy colours of brown, ivory and grey.
  • Luxury is distinguished by its use of reflective surfaces and materials against matte black accents.

Whichever design an owner chooses, an assortment of textures and materials are used to invoke a sense of depth and opulence in each room, enhanced by dark and light woods and white gloss ceilings for an even greater sense of space.

Interior – details

“The design is traditional yet contemporary; clean lines and neutral hues enhance the overall space creating a sense of effortless style,” Kelly Hoppen commented. “We have incorporated touches of cool grey into my signature palette of taupe’s and beiges to create a stunning, yet calm, interior. I am delighted to collaborate with Pearl Yachts once again, and proud to be part of creating a design that I believe will stand the test of time.”

The interior formal dining area was given less precedence and the the salon layout was increased to provide plenty of modular sofas. With clients preferring to dine outside or on the shore, the alfresco dining areas on the foredeck and aft provided an alternative.

Interior

A full-beam owner’s cabin is located on the lower deck and comes with a sofa, dressing table, walk-in wardrobe and its own en-suite bathroom. Further forward there are two twin cabins that can be converted into doubles, and have their own en-suite bathroom and a large window panel for excellent views and lighting. The VIP stateroom is located in the bow and has its own walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom as well as plenty of space around the bed.

The crew accommodation and facilities such as laundry have been given their own access for greater privacy for guests. The PEARL 80 series is designed to run with only two crew, and as a result the berths are more spacious.

Guest cabin

Following client feedback that the interior formal dining area did not see extensive use, Pearl Yachts maximised the outdoor space to provide three alfresco dining areas, placed on the bow, the main deck aft and the flybridge. After a meal, guests will not have to go far to rest in the sunshine: The bow has a large sunpad as does the flybridge, which is kept clear for entertaining by placing the tenders and jet skis in the stern tender garage. The stern can also be used as an additional sunbathing area, where the hydraulic platform lowers to the water.

Exterior

The PEARL 80 has excellent performance and manoeuvrability and two MAN V12-1800 engines with V-drives allow for a maximum speed of 35 knots, a cruising speed of 25 knots, at which she has a range of 300 nautical miles.

To back the quality of the PEARL 80 series, Pearl Yachts is introducing a five-year comprehensive warranty. Ian Smallridge, the Managing Director of Sales for Pearl Yachts, commented on the protection:

“The new warranty plan reflects both our desire to offer outstanding customer service as well as the total confidence we have in our product and we believe it is unprecedented within the industry.”
