Ocean Yacht Systems (OYS) are thrilled to announce that they have signed a new contract with Nautor’s Swan which will see them supply class leading thrusters to the new sailing yacht Swan 105. Described as sleek and luxurious mixed up with substantial interior volume, the latest Swan 105 superyacht will incorporate innovative features with added comfort for the Owners as well as their guests.

Based in Christchurch UK, OYS have a long standing association working on innovative hydraulic and electric thrusters and sail control systems.

The H-0300-S is a 30kw hydraulic swing thruster with thrust of up to 394kg. When not in use the thruster unit itself fH-0300-S_3_copy_websiteully retracts into the hull leaving a fair hull with minimal drag. The compact design has a small hydraulic locking pin which engages ensuring no movement during passages. There is an added safety feature of being able to manually lift and lower the thruster in case of power failure, whilst there is no environmental risk as all main drive hydraulic hoses are fully enclosed within the upper leg assembly and not open to sea water.
