Before the show begins, the Monday evening will see a new networking event for the superyacht industry in partnership with The Superyacht Report Group, organiser of the Global Superyacht Forum, as announced by METS/SYP organiser, Amsterdam RAI. Exhibitors in the SYP as well as delegates of the Global Superyacht Forum (GSF) are invited to take part in the SuperYacht Preview Reception on the show floor of the SuperYacht Pavilion.
“It has always been our ambition to bring the GSF and the Superyacht Pavilion as close together as possible to enable optimum networking and create businessopportunities” according to Sr. Product Manager Irene Dros, “In close co-operation with The Superyacht Report Group, organiser of GSF, we have therefore further integrated the two events and are initiating a special Superyacht Preview Reception.”
Kicking off at midday, SYP exhibitors will have the chance to register as delegates of GSF for a business lunch and afternoon session focusing on The Global Superyacht Market’s New Business Plan. The preview reception will follow allowing for focused networking in the calm before the storm of the two biggest events in the superyacht industry calendar offering an opportunity for delegates and exhibitors to meet and a chance to browse stands ahead of opening day.
“Bothdelegates and exhibitors have found it difficult in previous years to make time to meet and talk to each other. GSF and the Superyacht Pavilion are demanding events and people tend to stay in their respective areas once both are underway.” said Superyacht Events director Georgina Lucey, who outlined the impact of this new event.
The 25th anniversary edition of METS incorporating the SuperYacht Pavilion will be held 13-14-15 November 2012 in Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands. The SYP preview reception will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012.
