MDL Marinas is once again calling on berth holders and visitors to its 21 marinas around the UK and Europe to get creative in its third annual photography competition this summer.

MDL is in full swing celebrating the summer this year and we want you to join in, whether you see your local MDL Marina as a tranquil haven, an ideal spot to have a family picnic, or just the perfect setting to enjoy your favourite summer pastime, this year’s competition is looking for images that really bring summer at MDL Marinas to life. Fast-paced action shots, images illustrating people enjoying the marinas and quirky or artistic compositions are all welcome – the only limit is your imagination!
Won last year by Anne Hayton of Dorset, this year’s competition will look at capturing what really makes each of MDL’s 21 marinas in the UK and Europe a truly unique destination – through the eyes of people who experience the marinas for themselves.
The overall winner will win some top photography equipment as well as having their image displayed to thousands of visitors to the MDL Marinas stand at this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show, along with tickets to the show and a well-deserved bottle of Champagne.

The summer is the perfect time to get out and about on the water and to enjoy time with family and friends – it’s wonderful for us to see the experiences of our berth holders and visitors through the various photographic portrayals, which really encapsulate what marina life is all about.”
To enter this exciting competition simply visit www.mdlmarinas.co.uk to upload your entry – which should be taken at any one of MDL’s 21 marinas or boatyards in the UK, Spain or Italy, their approaches or immediate surroundings. You can also upload low res images via MDL’s Facebook page if you ‘Like’ www.facebook.com/summertimeatmdl. As well as the overall prize, two further second and third prize winners will receive photography equipment, perfect for continuing to capture those unforgettable moments on the water. The closing date for entries is Friday 26th August at 12noon.
