Lyman-Morse is pleased to host the 29-metre charter yacht Bristolian (ex Mari Cha II). Luxury sailing yacht Bristolian is at Lyman-Morse to have her generator replaced, to have some electronics work done and to switch from butane to propane. She is expected to be ready for a warm winter down south.

The crew brought superyacht Bristolian to Lyman-Morse late in the season knowing that the company’s Belyea Docks are situated in the perfect hurricane hole. Tucked in around the bend of the St. George River is so secure that the crew can comfortably leave the boat in the care of Lyman-Morse and get away for a break.

As MARI CHA II it is fair to say this yacht benefited from a particularly high standard of build and fit out – her design also incorporated what were at the time innovative ideas such as the fold out anchor arm, fold down bathing platform and many other details.

The brief to German Frers and CNB was to achieve a marriage of luxury cruising yacht with racing thoroughbred. During her first ownership she circumnavigated the globe safely and quickly. She sailed from Bordeaux across the North Atlantic in only 14 days.

MARI-CHA II was supervised in build by her skipper/project manager with precision and attention to detail. She was designed by yachtsmen for uncompromising yachtsmen.

As BRISTOLIAN this tradition was continued to the highest standards and she was completely refitted and hugely improved. BRISTOLIAN is the head turner she always has been and offers as well great fun and superb chances on the race course. This shiny jet black sloop is timeless and maintained perfectly.

A major refit in 2002 included new teak decks, Carbon rig and boom, modifications in cabins, etc and in her current ownership new Standing Rigging Navtec Nitronic rigging 2009, Spectra Carbon sails by North new end 2008, new complete rudder and bearings, 2008 and new forward Northern Lights generator and exhaust system, 2009 etc.

The interior changes and upgrades have modernised the style and improved the already high level of comfort for all on board. Luxury charter yacht Bristolian has all the appliances and conveniences demanded of a modern yacht. Changes were made in every cabin, improving storage, bed sizes and other details. The galley was completely redesigned, rebuilt and newly equipped in order to provide a 5 star service for her owner and guests. Great care, and expense, was taken to ensure she had very efficient air conditioning – such that not only was the system all renewed but the hull was newly insulated.
