Visitors to next week’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), set to run from 22 to 25 May, will be impressed by the collection of premium brands. They will showcase their horse power, luxury features and sleek good looks, on the water as well as on the road.

Adding to the array of covetable craft on show at SCIBS is the full range of vehicles from legendary Italian marque, Maserati. EuroMarque Maserati Brisbane is proud to be a major sponsor of the 2014 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

The jaw-dropping collection of Maserati vehicles will be showcased in the Maserati Showroom, overlooking Marina F at this year’s show.

Horizon Motor Yachts Australia, which calls Sanctuary Cove home all year round, will be showcasing a wide selection of yachts including the stunning Horizon P110 superyacht – the largest vessel at SCIBS – the RP97, E56, PC60, and the Horizon V74 yacht.

A true superyacht, the Horizon P110 yacht is ideal for the laid-back Aussie boating lifestyle, with its flowing layout, understated décor, quality furnishings and advanced technology and equipment throughout. Extra refrigeration, a big gas barbeque, hi-lo swim platform, the larger cockpit and added cockpit bar enhance entertaining onboard.

This tri-deck actually possesses four levels, rising from the spacious six lower bedrooms, including spacious crew, up to the large open plan saloon with three dining areas, including a formal dining section for 12, full-size galley and lounge areas, then up to the fully enclosed lower helm station area with another two dining areas and massive undercover deck area, finally to the top level and its open helm station with hardtop, lounges and a medium-sized spa pool.

Grand Banks will be showing one brokerage boat, the 47 East Bay, with plenty of additional features added to attract visitor interest.

Now part of the Grand Banks Group, Palm Beach Motor Yachts will be exhibiting new versions of the 45 and 55.

Queensland Beneteau dealer Spirit Marine will launch the first Beneteau Sense 46 in Queensland, making its show debut at SCIBS. Known for offering a lifestyle at sea, the Sense 46 exemplifies this design and function ethic with a broad open living plan, complemented by a hull designed to guarantee great sea-keeping and performance, with limited crew. Perfectly suited to cruising the Queensland Coast and beyond.

will have its superb Manhattan 53 on show – a crowd pleaser in every way with its sleek, sporty lines that belie the spacious interior. Versatility in all departments is what best characterises the Manhattan 53. Spacious entertaining and socialising areas to suit all moods, powerful twin diesels for thrilling drives or extended cruising, accommodation options for crew or owner driver, as well as the customary Sunseeker range of exquisite furnishing and finish options.

From Leigh-Smith Cruiser Sales are the superlative new Hampton 700 Skylounge and Endurance 720 DPB yacht. The Hampton 700 Skylounge is a true bluewater boat that an owner can manage single-handedly. It boasts many superyacht features, from the wide walkways and hinged, rather than sliding doors, the spacious living areas and accommodation and attention to detail in every finish and fitting, as well as the Hampton planing hull, making it a true coastal boat.

Entering the Australian market for the first time, the latest model Kadey-Krogen 48 will be displayed by dealer, Andrew Coffey, who describes this classic US trawler style boat as “premium end in terms of quality of build and equipment”.

Ideal for long-range cruising, Kadey-Krogen boats are for the long haul and supremely comfortable for live aboard. Coffey is also distributor for Outer Reef Yachts in Australia, and will debut the Outer Reef 630, long range motor yacht this year’s boat show – a brand new model and a new boat, with a lot of features in terms of layout and more windows, full beam master cabin and more contemporary interiors.

Australian manufacturer, Maritimo will have one of the largest on-water displays this year, and its main attraction will be the new S58, the world premiere of this model, at the 2014 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. The company has already taken pre-orders on the S58 from Australia and the US and is confident the official launch at SCIBS will result in plenty of interest and orders.

Also on display will be a Maritimo’s series 2 M50 and M58, the throaty and exceedingly fast world-champion Maritimo race boat, an M50, S50, M58, S58, C50 and S43 models.

Riviera will show its 63 Enclosed Flybridge, 445 SUV and 5000 Sport Yacht at SCIBS. The 63 Flybridge boasts with a raft of engineering and design enhancements based on its predecessor, the superb 61 Flybridge.

With a number of ground breaking design changes, the 63 offers a whole lot more capability, offshore and at anchor, and is available with either an enclosed flybridge or open flybridge.

In the multihull arena, Multihull Solutions will have several impeccable models on show: the Mahé 36 Evolution, Hélia 44 and Sanya 57 sailing catamarans by Fountaine Pajot, as well as the new Summerland 40 Long Range power catamaran by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts.

Power catamaran enthusiasts will be excited to inspect the incredible new Summerland 40 Long Range which features a host of design upgrades, including a more spacious saloon boasting panoramic windows and a contemporary interior design, a comprehensively equipped galley, designer dining area, helm station with expansive views, and thoughtfully separated passageways affording optimal privacy in the cabins.

The managing director of TAG Yachts, Tim van der Steene, will be on the Multihull Solutions stand throughout the show to assist buyers with information on his company’s exciting range of catamarans.

Among its line-up of boats on display, Multihull Central will have the Outremer 49 for example – a great bluewater, ocean-going boat that offers families and cruising couples the comfort, performance and set-up to go anywhere. It will be the first time the model will be exhibited at an Australian boat show. This stunning example of a high-performance multihull will definitely attract attention and judging by its worldwide success, it will strike a chord with the Australian market.

From Vicsail, Lagoon will feature the newest and most innovative cats on the market this year: the Lagoon 39 and the Lagoon 52.

The Lagoon 52 is no ordinary catamaran, and its originality goes a great deal further than just its appearance, or even its interior layout. This new Lagoon is the result of collaboration between the architects at Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost (VPLP), the Italian Nauta Design agency and the Lagoon design department. These discussions led the team to make important and sometimes radical choices, while remaining faithful to the Lagoon hallmarks of elegance, comfort, safety, user-friendliness and performance under sail.

Sponsored by Club Marine and Maserati EuroMarque Brisbane, SCIBS 2014 will run from May 22 to 25.

The 2014 Boat Show will showcase a wide variety of international boating brands, products and technologies on display alongside the superb backdrop of the award-winning Sanctuary Cove marina and The Marine Village.

Offering something for the whole family, SCIBS will also feature a full program of live entertainment, cooking demonstrations and seminars as well as a kids zone and Women on Water program throughout the four-day event. Tickets are on sale now online and through Ticketmaster. Adult day passes start at $20, with concession passes available for seniors and students. Children under 18 are free.

In 2014, SCIBS has teamed up with Translink to provide free train travel for all pre-paid ticket holders for travel to and from the show between May 22 and 25.

Visitors to SCIBS are entitled to free train travel on all regular Queensland Rail City Network trains when they display a pre-purchased ticket to the event, along with accessing the free ‘Park ‘n’ Ride’ services from Helensvale.
