Art and design have often been regarded as synonyms, however Aeronautiq’s latest yacht proposal takes this connection quite literally. Not only does the architectural superstructure styling of Vice Versa draw inspiration from the bold monotone lines used by the Austrian artist Gerhard Gutruf but the offset floating superstructure reflects a hint of Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s Hundertwasserhaus, together with the offset forms of Wolfgang Paalen’s more abstract works from the early 1930s.

This core theme spills through to the interior layout and design, featuring artwork from Fritz Martinz and Johannes Hickelsberger, mixing academy art and photo manipulation.

At a planned 55 metres in length on paper with a beam of 12 metres, luxury yacht Vice Versa concept boasts its own art gallery with vaulted ceiling and sweeping double staircase, that leads to the owner’s private areas. The gallery also acts as a focal point and reception area between decks, encouraging social interaction.

An open plan guest lounge and dining room, divided by a central console display cabinet and aquarium, reflects the split level outer main deck along its walls, as well as playing host to the owner’s favourite painting, in this case by Fritz Martinz, on its back wall.

The bridge also provides an added area to display artwork, while the helm’s design draws its inspiration from an automotive theme, clean and purposeful in overall appearance. The superstructure’s glazing serves to maximize natural light while the main deck allows 360º walk around, from the aft dining area to the seating and sunbed area at the front. Vice Versa yacht’s fly bridge is accessible to all 12 guests and features sunbeds as well as a whirlpool, whilst the owner has a private balcony with its own seating and sunbed.

Graceful access to the Vice Versa superyacht can be made from a tender or jetty using the aircraft style side door, or alternatively from aft, which opens out creating a relaxing wet bar and dive platform. The allocated tender garage is planned to accommodate Aeronautiq’s classic sports tender or a Royal Tender, as well as the usual toys.

Aeronautiq is seeking an interested party or shipyard who wish to take this project to the next level, and cast their own artistic tastes on motor yacht Vice Versa’s interior and décor.
