Dutch design studio, Guido de Groot Design, has worked on a number of refit projects over the years. Recent projects comprise an interior refit performed at the Moonen shipyard in Holland and an interior refit for the 32m Mengi Yay charter yacht ‘Y’. The refit of superyacht ‘Y’ was carried out by her home shipyard in their facilities in Tuzla, Turkey.

The refit project for luxury yacht ‘Y’ was developed together with Yacht Marine – Management and Brokerage, who did the project management in Turkey.
Super yacht 'Y' - Cabin
The transformation on super yacht ‘Y’ mainly involved converting the dark wooden interior into one with a fresh, modern and light interior. The timescales were tight on this project, with the whole metamorphosis taking just five months; just in time for her to be ready for the summer season.
