Heesen delivers 65m FDHF mega yacht GALACTICA STAR

Launched by the respected Dutch shipyard Heesen in March 2013, the all-new 65m mega yacht Galactica Star (YN 16465, Project Omnia) has been successfully handed over to her new Owner. This week, she has been seen on the way to the popular summer yacht charter – the Mediterranean. Designed by Frank Laupman from Omega Architects, luxury motor yacht Galactica Star represents the first full application of the patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), developed by Van Oossanen.

The beautiful 65m Heesen superycht Galactica Star can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 elegant and comfortable cabins. There is also space for a professional crew of 13. In addition, Galactica Star offers all the luxury amenities of a superyacht, such as a duplex beach club, 22-square metre swimming pool platform, sauna, hammam, as well as a large sunbathing area, which can be transformed into a touch-and-go heli-deck.

Twin MTU 20V4000M93L diesel engines can deliver the 65m luxury yacht Galactica Star (YN 16465, Project Omnia) a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots at approx 75% engine power output.
