Last month in the lovely French Riviera yacht charter destination – Cannes saw the UAE luxury yacht builder, Gulf Craft, cement its global success. The yard has won the World Yacht Trophy for “Shipyard of the Year 2014.”

Notis Menelaou, Sales Manager of Gulf Craft received the award on behalf of the company from Sam Richomme, Group CEO & Publisher of LuxMedia Group, the French publishing group behind the awards – considered amongst the most prestigious accolades in marine circles. The awards ceremony was held in September at the Carlton Hotel at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The World Yacht Trophies are judged by a panel of experts made up of highly qualified members of the steering committee of the LuxMedia publishing network – publishers of luxury, lifestyle and boating titles such as Yachts Emirates, Yachts Qatar, Yachts Lebanon, Yachts and Boats, Yachts Russia, Yachts Croatia and Boats Arabia amongst others. The expert panel was entrusted with the task of selecting and evaluating the yachts and the winners for each category.
