CJR Propulsion today announced UAE based superyacht builder Gulf Craft as the winner of its first annual ‘Customer Recognition Award’. The award is designed to acknowledge the CJR partner who is having a noticeable impact on technological development and showing strong sales growth within the marine industry. The CJR Customer Recognition Award, given by CJR’s managing director Mark Russell, considers three key criteria in its decision: environmental sustainability, technical innovation, and sales growth.

Gulf 95 Motor Yacht Profile - Gulf Craft

Gulf Craft, one of the world leading manufacturers of luxury yachts, and CJR Propulsion who combine decades of experience with modern technology and engineering to produce propeller and stern gear systems for yachts of all sizes have been working together for nearly ten years. This relationship has been strengthened through Gulf Craft’s specific custom projects where CJR has been involved in bespoke engine drive solutions. These projects include the recently completed new concept Gulf 95 Exp motor yacht which now features CJR’s VEEM star propellers.

“Gulf Craft is amongst those leading the market in creating business value through new technology implementations and a strong market presence,” commented Russell. “It is an excellent example of an organisation working in a challenging environment, yet using its own in-house technical development, combined with the early adoption of external suppliers and extensive R&D, is having a tangible impact on the business. Through openness, innovation and creative execution, Gulf Craft lead the field in driving the marine market forward and positively impact buyer’s perceptions.”

On receiving the award, Gulf Craft’s COO, Erwin Bamps, commented: “We are delighted to be recognised for our investment in R&D and the noticeable effect this, combined with our supplier’s innovations, and is having on our business. Demand for CJR’s products has risen dramatically in recent months, in conjunction with an increase in Gulf Craft sales, and we look forward to our relationship continuing to develop.”
