Formula Marine, one of Europe’s leading mast builders have announced a new contract with Oyster Marine, the international market leader of world-class cruising yachts.
Formula Marine to present unique F² Automatic in boom Furling for sailing yachts
Formula Marine has been chosen as the preferred supplier for the newest yacht in the Oyster range, the Oyster 885 yacht. The first rig to be supplied will be a carbon fibre mast and specially designed carbon Park Avenue boom. The second will also have a carbon mast and will be equipped with Formula’s F2 innovative in-boom furling system from F2 Advanced Sailing Technologies, all of which have been designed to reflect a unique oyster shape that will be synonymous with the quality seen on all Oyster Yachts. The first rig is planned to be delivered in time for the 885/01 to be exhibited at the Southampton Boat Show 2012, with the second rig following shortly after.
Formula Marine and Oyster Marine have worked closely together to ensure the final rigs meet all the necessary technical and performance requirements for the 885’s. This latest agreement and trust in Formula Marine continues the relationship the two companies have developed over many years, to ensure top quality, value for money and first class global customer service.
