Last Saturday, an emergency training session took place at STP (Port Technical Services). This spread throughout the morning and was completed with a fire drill, in which STP workers as well as Palma firefighters jointly intervened in the procedure. The simulation, which lasted an hour, was held in one of the boats, which is presently at STP. In addition, as an extra contribution to the emergency drill, first aid measures in case of injury were demonstrated.

STP’s workers used fire hoses during the simulation and also their own emergency vehicle which is permanently in its installations. It is a fire truck that has all the means needed for a quick and safe procedure. Palma firefighters also provided the drill with specific vehicles such as a ladder truck and a light pumper vehicle to make it as complete as possible.

This training event brought together more than 25 STP employees and a complete fire brigade of Palma firefighters, as well as Port Authority personnel.

This successful day, led to the practice and improvement of response in case of an emergency, as well as coordination of actions among STP staff, Palma firefighters and external help like sanitary services and the Balearic Ports Authority Police.

Again, STP shows its desire to improve and establish itself as one of the safest and most well prepared companies in Europe to provide safe and convenient facilities for its clients.
