Two weeks after the signing of the Letter of Intent (LOI) for the construction of a 68-metre superyacht – the biggest vessel ever sold on the Chinese market – CRN is thrilled to announce that it has signed two new LOI for the construction of two 44-metre motor yachts, destined for the Middle-Eastern and European markets respectively.

CRN, part of the Ferretti Group and specialising in the construction of fully-customized displacement megayachts, made of steel and aluminium, ranging from 40 and 90 metres, shows its vitality once again only a few months after the 50th anniversary of the shipyard, which was celebrated in 2013.

For these two vessels CRN harks back to the great tradition and history of the brand, taking inspiration from SuperConero, the historic line of the seventies, in a project presented for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Show 2013. The project SuperConero 44 mt yacht, a displacement megayacht with bulb, made of steel and aluminium, 44 metres long and 8.60 wide, within 500 GT, designed by Zuccon International Project and whose project design was developed by CRN Engineering, begins its concrete realization today for the first time with the signing of the two LOI.

The innovation and continual search for unique design solutions, both in the layout of the vessels and in the interiors, are characteristic traits of the shipyard, which offers on these 44metres megayachts all the most important innovations developed over the years: the balcony that can be enjoyed while sailing, the open terrace overlooking the sea, which can be enjoyed when moored offshore, the large beach club at the stern and, not least, the floodable garage for the tender. Introduced for the first time on a vessel on board the 60 metres megayacht M/Y J’Ade, the garage transforms a technical space into a living area for the first time, integrated with a beach, which creates a unique and extensive space at the waterline and can be enjoyed by the Owner’s family and guests. The garage can also hold a tender with a capacity of 10 people.

The transatlantic range, the project design and the manufacturing, to the highest standards acknowledged worldwide in the nautical industry (RINA and MCA), the large internal volumes and the predominant use of glass for the large floor-to-ceiling windows giving a constant view of the sea, make the SuperConero 44 metres megayacht a unique vessel.

The two LOI signed for the Middle-East and Europe highlight an intense period for the Ancona shipyard, where at the moment 6 vessels of the CRN brand are being manufactured: namely 4 steel and aluminium megayachts – CRN 131 74 m (designed by Zuccon International Project), CRN 132 73 m (designed by Omega Architects), CRN 133 60 m (designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design) and CRN 134 55 m (designed by Nuvolari & Lenard) – together with another maxiyacht of the Ferretti Custom Line, the CL 124’, and the Riva 122’ superyacht Mythos made of aluminium.

Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of CRN, said: “I am happy about the signing of these two Letters of Intent for the 44 metres SuperConero Line; this confirms that we have made the right choices in a very important segment of market for CRN. The shipyard is working hard to plan and produce “unique products” which will make these jewels loved and utilized by their Owners. The European and Middle-Eastern Nationality of Prospects means continuity in historically strategic markets for CRN. For this reason we will be at the Dubai International Boat Show again in March.”
