French shipyard Couach has announced the signing of two contracts in the newly launched Mediterranean series, designed and developed by Clement Carbonne. The 1900 and 1100 S models take inspiration from the yard’s previous successes, such as the 195 Fly yacht Guy Couach that sported a sleek low profile and now influences the 19.55/64ft 1900 design.

Mediterranean New Line 1900

“We are delighted with the reception that our Mediterranean range has received from our client base,” said Couach President and CEO, Walter Ceglia. “Our focus is and always will be on providing superb yachts that are true to Couach’s design DNA and heritage. Drawing on unmistakable hallmarks from Guy Couach’s original yachts, this range of smaller boats delivers the standards that clients have come to expect from our Couach teams.”

1900

The main deck of the 1900 is fitted with generously proportioned windows for a bright interior further enhanced by cut-outs in the hull bulwarks. Inside, there is a helm and a large formal dining area and salon that is comprised of a U-shaped sofa, an adjacent seating area convertible to a double bed and a concealed flatscreen TV on the starboard side.

To the aft, the open-plan galley is situated between the indoor and outdoor dining spaces for efficient use by guests and crew. A roof window between the galley and cockpit can be opened for ease of communication during meal preparation.

Beneath the cockpit, there is a 2m/6.6ft deep swim platform which can be used as guests desire with a number of customisation options available.

Below deck, there is a full-beam Master cabin with en-suite facilities as well as a double wardrobe. A VIP stateroom also has the same facilities, while a third cabin contains twin beds, a wardrobe and bathroom.

The 1900 is powered by twin Volvo 900hp engines and has a 4,000-litre fuel tank, allowing owners and guests the ability to see multiple destinations in the Mediterranean without needing to stop and refuel on a day-to-day basis.

1100 S

Designed for cruising at speed, the 1100 S model will combine high performance with French flair and draw on Couach’s experience in naval architecture for the armed forces. The deep V-shaped hull will allow the 1900 to reach high speed even in shallow waters, drawing on a fuel tank of 770 litres and twin outboard engines for a family day out on the water.

The layout features two sunbathing areas placed on the bow and the stern, while the helm will have a shaded hard-top seating area plus two large sofas facing one another with removable tables to meet guests’ requirements. Inside, a double cabin has en-suite facilities of a day head and shower.

The 11.4m/37.4ft 1100 S luxury yacht will have a scheduled delivery of summer 2018.
