The beautiful 55 metre classic schooner Elena sailing yacht recently entered Malta’s Grand Harbour to berth at Grand Harbour Marina in Vittoriosa.

Ben Stuart, General Manager of Grand Harbour Marina in Vittoriosa said it all: “Elena is one of the finest yachts in the world. She stole the show both at last year’s 2009 Voiles de St Tropez regatta and at the recent Antibes Boat Show last April. Her berthing at our Grand Harbour Marina is a terrific sight.”

Classic Sailing Yacht ELENA Under full Sail - What a site!

This 55 metre Herreshoff classic is a yacht Elena also of a modern age with her latest systems and luxurious comforts. Meticulously built to the original Herreshoff lines of 1910, Elena is a true classic from a bygone era. Built by Marin LuxuryYachts in Galicia, Spain, Elena boasts an incredible downwind sail area of 1800m² and can accommodate ten guests in five exquisitely finished cabins.

Meanwhile, another prestigious yacht to grace Grand Harbour Marina’s superyachts berthing quay over this period is M/Y Givi which arrived in Malta last week. The 60 metre motor yacht is a steel ship built at CRN Yachts (Ferretti Group) and conceived in the office of Crn and Studio Zuccon International Project. The notable full displacement yacht GIVI is a very high quality Italian made superyacht which was launched in 2006.

Motor yacht GiVi features a “beach” on her lower aft deck – one of the first superyachts to have a lower room opening onto the water at her aft deck. Panoramic sea views surround guests on her large sun deck and in her comfortable sky lounge and her interior utilised muted colours and simple, but elegant, forms in creating a refined and restful setting. Likewise, her furniture which, is displayed on parquet floors, also reflects a stylish Italian design.

“Attracting some of the most luxurious yachts from around the world remains one of the main commitments of Grand Harbour Marina,” reiterated Ben Stuart. “Our marina is purposely built to attract and accommodate some of the largest super-yachts in the world. With 33 berths available for superyachts, Grand Harbour Marina is in fact Camper & Nicholsons’ most equipped marina focused on superyacht berthing. The super yachts being hosted at our marina are in line with our constant drive to bring stunning boats to berth in what is considered one of the most spectacular harbours in the world.”
