Able to accommodate up to 10 guests, the layout features an owner’s suite on the main deck, plus 4 VIP staterooms on the lower deck. Among the exterior spaces is a formal upper deck and a more informal sundeck fitted with a hydro-massage tub, barbeque and bar.

HEESEN announced delivery of HOME – First FDHF Yacht with Hybrid Propulsion

July 04, 2017

Written by Eva Belanyiova

Heesen Yachts have announced the delivery of the world’s first Fast Displacement Hull Form motor yacht with hybrid propulsion to her owner. Previously known as Project NOVA, the 50-metre vessel HOME, constructed in aluminium and below 500GT with a shallow draft, has returned from her comprehensive sea trials and has been handed over to her owner on the 1st of June.

The results of the sea trials, which has taken place in the North Sea in calm sea conditions and waves of up to 0.5 metres with a light breeze, went very well, where HOME has overcome her contractual top speed of 16.3 knots in the traditional Diesel engine mode, but also in her hybrid silent cruising mode. HOME is also very quiet thanks to her two 127kW water-cooled DC electric shaft motors and exceeded the predicted 9knots with noise and vibration levels well below expected.

In addition, she is also fuel efficient, consuming 98 litres per hour (excluding generators) at 12knots, which is further reduced at 10knots in hybrid mode to amazing 45 litres per hour.

“Heesen is renowned for its meticulous attention to weight reduction and HOME is an effortless embodiment of this; being lighter than predicted, she is the perfect demonstration of Heesen’s signature capabilities.”

HOME is fitted with two MTU 12V 2000 M61 engines of 600kW each; smaller than usually found on the yachts of these measurements, demonstrating the fact that the FDHF designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, engineered by Heesen’s in-house specialists and immaculately constructed by Heesen’s welders, is notably efficient. The yacht’s range has also been exceeded by 500 nautical miles, reaching impressive 4200 nautical miles at 12 knots, with only 45,000 litres of fuel.

Not only does she impress with her efficiency and performance, she is also a beauty, inside and out! Her striking profile has been created by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, incorporating a vertical bow, an impressive large fixed swim platform, wide sweeping stairs and huge windows. HOME’s interior is equally impressive and was designed by Cristiano Gatto in close collaboration with the owner. It is characterised by contemporary design based on a two-tone colour palette.

A sister ship to the M/Y HOME is currently under construction at the Heesen shipyard and is available to purchase.

HOME will see her premiere at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show in September (27-30 September 2017).

Following in the footsteps of the first Fast 125′, IRON MAN, both recent deliveries are equipped with a Rolls Royce designed new generation propulsion system created specifically for the series. Using a carbon fibre steerable thruster, the reduced weight results in a quieter cruising experience with reduced vibrations and improved performance while docking and man.

Both superyachts also employ the Displacement to Planing (D2P) hull form that uses a wave-piercer bow for low fuel consumption at low speeds while in displacement mode and efficient usage in planning mode at high speeds.

Stefano Righini designed the exterior for a streamlined appearance, most notably by merging windows to create horizontal lines. M/Y CONSTANCE JOY also has a distinctive crimson hull, making her an unmissable sight at her future charter grounds.

Redman Whiteley Dixon created the interiors of both motor yachts based on one of three design options provided for owners of the Fast 125′ line: Air, Land and Sea. Luxury yacht SKYLER uses the Air configuration, which is the most contemporary of the available designs.

Luxury yacht SKYLER will be available for charter in the Mediterranean from the 9th of July. Find out more information about her interior and facilities here, or contact CharterWorld to make a booking aboard this brand new luxury yacht.

Sanlorenzo’s Largest Superyacht ‘Seven Sins’ Delivered in Monaco

June 06, 2017

Written by Maria Korotaeva

The first unit from the 52Steel series, superyacht Seven Sins, has now been delivered in Monaco by Sanlorenzo. Launched in January this year, M/Y Seven Sins is a beautiful five-deck luxury yacht, which incorporates luxury with a timeless exterior profile created by Officina Italiana Design.

Luxury yacht Seven Sins is one of the top 10 brand new superyachts available for charter this summer in the Mediterranean.

52Steel Sanlorenzo

52Steel Sanlorenzo

Lavish amenities are offered to Seven Sins’ guests to make sure everyone enjoys cruising aboard the yacht. There are relaxation, dining, party and socialising spaces located in the exterior layout. The sundeck is of an enormous size and has a bar, Jacuzzi, foredeck solarium and alfresco dining.

The yacht’s tender is placed on the louvered transom plate, while side shell doors to port and starboard add to the transformative nature of this area. The tender is released when the transom plate rises, and the garage gets flooded. Meanwhile, the sideways terraces are opened, and a section easily lowers down from overhead– not only completing the floor of a large teak-soled Beach Club, but also exposing the transparent bottom of the swimming pool above.

The interior decor was personalised and features ceiling glazing in the salons, which provide outstanding views and relaxing ambience. Seven Sins sleeps 12 guests in the following cabin configuration: owner’s master suite, two VIP cabins, two large ensuite cabins and another double cabin on the flybridge. The guests are assisted by a highly professional crew of 10.

Motor yacht Seven Sins can reach a top speed of 17.50 knots, thanks to her twin MTU 12V4000 M63 engines. At a cruising speed of 15 knots, the yacht has a range of 4000 miles.

Sanlorenzo launched the third 460Exp unit in May, and currently, has another three under construction. The shipyard is also busy with construction of three further 52Steel models, one 40 Alloy unit. The new flagship 64-meter megayacht project 64Steel is also underway at Sanlorenzo.

Seven Sins will be attending the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2017.
