Rivera motor yacht 43 Open Flybridge, Riviera 5000 and 5800 sport yachts to be launched at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2010

August 24, 2010

Australia’s well known pleasure boat builder Riviera is eagerly awaiting the 51st annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The company will launch their new motor yacht 43 Open Fly Bridge and sport yachts 5000 and 5800. They are all expected to receive great response from the US market.

The Riviera 5000 Sport Yacht features a striking European design

Riviera Yachts USA Inc director Chris McCafferty said the motor yachts 5000, 5800 and 43 Open Flybridge yacht had received exceptional results in other markets, with the 43 selling 16 boats since it was released in late May proving the popularity of this new flybridge design.

Sport Yacht Riviera 5000 with Zeaus drive has superior performance

People are travelling across the globe to view the 5800 Sport Yacht at the Fort Lauderdale show and with 14 retail sales achieved since it was released in 2009, it is expected to impress the crowds.

“Riviera is really looking forward to the show and is extremely optimistic of strong results given the universal acceptance of these new models since their launch,” said Chris.

The Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht has impressed boat owners across the globe

“The combination of these exciting new world class models and new additions to our dealer network will put Riviera in very good stead in the US as the boating market continues to recover.”

Riviera CEO John Anderson said the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show would make a convincing statement to the US market following the challenges faced by the marine industry in the midst of the global financial crisis last year.

The Riviera motor yacht 43's open flybridge gives 360 vision

It has been a challenging 12 months for the whole boating industry.  And Riviera has embraced change and faced the challenge head on, releasing new models all bearing Riviera’s hallmark styling and impeccable multi-award winning build quality.

“To have sold 40 new boats over the past eight weeks between the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney shows is a tremendous result for the Riviera brand, our loyal owners and our dedicated staff and dealers,” Mr Anderson said.

The 43 Open Flybridge's luxurious saloon opens out to an oversized cockpit

“In June 2010, the company announced it had officially exited Administration, so our focus is clearly directed to rebuilding the business and making it even stronger.

“We have 400 people on site right now building boats and we are actively recruiting new staff.  Our global sales for the first half of 2010 have increased by 17 per cent, resulting in an average sales run-rate of two-and-a-half new boats per week since the 2009 Fort Lauderdale Show.

The new Riviera yacht 43 Open Flybridge is a real head turner

“Riviera has introduced a new production line and commenced a recruitment drive for new staff to assist with the ramp up of production to meet the growth in new boat sales.

“In the US Riviera is extremely well known for our range of Flybridge boats but this year Fort Lauderdale will pave the way for us to be equally well known for our innovative Sport Yacht range, which is expanding Riviera’s appeal because of the allure of this design to the cruising market.”

The single level living and functional galley is a feature of the 5800 Sport Yacht

Riviera offers 20 different models from 36 to 85 feet across four model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and Motor Yachts.

Solent Refit superyacht facility update

August 02, 2010

Throughout 2010, activity at the SEEDA owned Hythe Marine Park has increased significantly. Last year, SEEDA (assisted by their managing agents CB Richard Ellis) and in conjunction with Yacht Project Associates, created ‘Solent Refit’, a unique refit and repair facility for large superyachts.

Located in Southampton Water on the South Coast, Solent Refit provides waterside and undercover facilities for the repair and refit of superyachts. Constructed in the 1950′s for the British Navy, the site now forms part of Hythe Marine Park, one of the area’s most successful marine business parks, home to Palmer Johnson UK and a host of other UK marine companies.

Solent Refit was set up in order to maximise the use of the unique facilities offered on the site, which includes a ship lifting facility capable of handling superyachts up to 70m long, together with extensive working deep water berths, moorings and lay-up areas for even larger vessels.

Solent Refit operates across a large part of the 12 acre specialist marine industrial park and there have been various vessels which have been slipped, or worked on within this facility over the last few months.

Recent activity has included the successful launch by Yacht Project Associates of superyacht PJ 170 – PJ-501, the first Palmer Johnson Sportsyacht built in the UK, within one of the industrial units on the site over the last two years. The new PJ 170 – PJ-501 launched by Palmer Johnson with a length of 52m and a weight of 320 tonnes, was manoeuvred across the site, positioned on the specialist rail system and launched via the heavy slipway in July.

The Palmer Johnson PJ 170 PJ-501 superyacht launched at Solent refit Facility

The Palmer Johnson PJ 170 PJ-501 superyacht is the first of three PJ 170 sportsyachts to be built.

“This significant launch certainly cements Palmer Johnson’s Sportyacht concept by passing the 50 meter benchmark and further confirms the appeal of the Sportyacht genre.” said company President Mike Kelsey. PJ-501 Motor Yacht, as she is known will cruise the Mediterranean over the coming months.

Wider Yachts Launched by Tilli Antonelli

July 27, 2010

Tilli Antonelli, who founded the Pershing brand of yachts in 1985, last week announced the launch of a brand new yacht concept called ‘Wider’ during a press conference in Milan.

Wider Yachts will begin with a 42ft open day cruiser boat that is expected to be launched at the Genoa show and will eventually build a smaller 11m 35ft Wider yacht and a larger 15m (50ft) Wider model.

The ‘Wider’ names is derived from the fact that the mid-section of the 42-foot open cockpit boat can be extended port and starboard via an innovative system patented by Antonelli that increases the cockpit diameter to six metres (for a total area of 15 sqm) and provides lateral hull sections that act as ‘outriggers’. Wider has thus managed to double the usable surface and significantly increase the yacht’s stability.

Wider 42ft by Tilli Antonelli

“What makes Wider really different if compared to the existing day cruisers has to do with space and stability,” notes Antonelli. “The boat allows us to double the space of the cockpit. Two lateral extension transform the boat into a sort of playground in the middle of the sea.”

Wider epitomises the modern concept of energy saving, concentrating on the use of engines and aerodynamic shapes which guarantee huge savings in consumption and a lower environmental impact.

The twin engines of the WIDER 42 are not installed in the conventional symmetrical way, but are offset in a racing style, providing a lower centre of gravity along the centreline enabling an increase in stability and ease of inspection.

Wider Yachts, Wider Cockpit by Tilli Antonelli

The Wider yacht is built using vacuum-infusion moulding (Scrimp System) techniques with a carbon and vinylester resin hybrid, and selected parts in carbon fibre only. This results in a lightweight aerodynamic hull that will have maximum efficiency, minimum waste and will reach a maximum speed of over 45 knots with 370hp engines and Arneson surface propellers for a range of around 350 miles at 40 knots.

The racing-style stepped hull of the Wider Yachts creates a cushion of air between the hull and the water that provides a more comfortable ride and horizontal trim, with the added advantage of improving performance and visibility. The WIDER 42 features exterior styling by Fulvio de Simoni, Pershing’s chief designer, with a stepped hull by Mark Wilson. Wilson is one of the top experts in the field of racing yachts, who also designed those with which his son won the World Championships three times, once in class P2 and twice in class P1.

The energy saving concept of this yacht also covers on-board electronics. A well-developed, highly technological CAN bus electrical system was produced in conjunction with Acson Marine and the extremely lightweight installation guarantees considerable savings in engine energy.

Wider and Acson Marine has produced a helm station featuring an innovative multi-functional steering wheel, similar to those used in Formula 1. The wheel has a built-in mini instrument panel with a multi-view display featuring all the information necessary for navigation.

Wider 42ft by Tilli Antonelli

In the cockpit of the Wider 42 furnishings are clearly different to all the other models currently available on the market, and focus on convertibility: the windscreen protecting the seating can be raised and concealed. The space in front of these seats is split into three different parts which, if raised separately, will transform into two chaises longue, a dinette area, or a single sundeck.

The stern of the Wider 42 can house a jet ski or rubber dinghy, or even a diving centre, in an uncovered garage. The housing for the personal watercraft lowers, forming a slide to facilitate haulage and launch operations. Once the water toys have been removed, this space can be converted into an additional sundeck.

The internal furnishings of the Wider 42 ensure complete comfort during a day at sea, with a kitchenette, seating which can be transformed into a large, comfortable bed in case of need, and a head with a large, separate shower.

The vertical surfaces inside the cabin feature carbon laminate and the structural bulkheads are finished in a new linen fabric with a polished finish.

Esthec (www.esthec.com) was chosen for the cladding of the deck. This sophisticated material offers all the positive characteristics of teak, such as aesthetic appearance and being pleasant to the touch, is environmentally sustainable during its lifecycle, and can be completely recycled. Esthec is indestructible, stain resistant, fireproof, non-slip, will not splinter, and requires no maintenance.

Lastly, the Wider 42 yacht has inflatable cushioning and seats instead of heavy, cumbersome, fixed fibreglass seating. If and when necessary, they can also be used as floating airbeds and seats in the water for total relaxation – almost completely removing the dividing line between the yacht and the sea.

The company is based in a 10,000sq m manufacturing facility in Castelvecchio di Monteporzio (PU), Marche, where Antonelli built the first Pershing in 1985.

The company plans to distribute the Wider boats in Europe, North and South America. “We are working on a new distributional model which provides for establishment of specially formed companies in the most interesting markets, where the headquarters will have an important role,” remarked Antonelli. “In Italy, on the other hand, distribution will be dealt with centrally, and the sales network will be as capillary as possible.”

Motor Yacht Aicon 82 Open debuts on the Italian market

July 05, 2010

The Motor Yacht Aicon 82 Open debuts on the Italian market. The 82’ Aicon Yacht  combines in a megayacht, the same decisive and flowing concepts which characterize the yacht Aicon 62 and the yacht Aicon 72 of the same line. A fusion of style and rigor, a refuge for those who are continually in search of excellence, the Aicon 82 Open Motoryacht is a unique combination of class, attention to detail, comfort, technology and innovative design. Its line infringes on the conformity of space recreating environments which are ideally open and functional and allow sailing while totally immersed in contemporary comfort and relax.

Motor Yacht Aicon 82 Open

The Motoryacht Aicon 82 Open has also been conceived as a yacht with innovative systems: it has an integrated equipment of domotics and onboard monitoring, characterized by a centralized system of all the electrical utilities and functions, and of the electrical parameters of the hydraulic systems. This system presents numerous additional functions such as the automatic management of the onboard power supply, the possibility to choose which utilities to feed by inverter, the complete configuration and personalization of the controls, and a simple and intuitive management of the alarms with automatic safety procedures. The system, realized by the Engineering department of the Aicon Group has been conceived so as to optimize weights and dimensions with the utmost attention to reliability and safety, preferring sturdiness and redundancy for the critical elements and simple emergency procedures.

In terms of style, the exterior forms are decisive and flowing, with particular attention to ideally open spaces. A long and continuous picture window characterizes both sides of the yacht, from stern to bow, while the large hard top is connected to the windscreen (with partial shade) by an almost invisible bar. Characterized by openable windows and hard top, the Aicon 82 Open Yacht allows one to experience the deck area with the sensation of being in a completely open space in contact with the sea, in total sync with the living and cockpit areas. The “family feeling” of the Open line is immediately recognizable: the element which completes the broadside with the insertion of the stainless steel plate/logo, the continual side window with its characteristic mixed-line form (which also describes the interior layout), and the large porthole of the master cabin, are only some of the more distinct signs of Aicon’s rigorous stylistic coherence.

Motor Yacht Aicon 82 Open Aft

The purity of its forms, the elegance of its proportions and the search for “elongated lines” interprets the sporty character of the vessel “through the shape of movement”. The Streamlining – the term derives from the movement widespread in America in the first half of the last century, which tended to give each object an aerodynamic shape – obtained by purifying the boat from all stylistic emphasis, is the result of a coherence both formal and technical, where the “plastic intuition” corresponds to a careful process of engineering, which allows the combination of different components in a single organic form.

The streamlined external lines of the boat are also recaptured in the definition of the interiors. The duotone wooden essence runs through the layout of the decorating elements which visibly separate into surfaces projected in continuity. A layer of dark wood, as if it were a continuous ribbon, runs along the entire length of the broadside of the main deck. The Streamlining is also present in the sequence which put together with continuity the windshield, the skylight (with curtain inside) and the openable hard top. In keeping with the plastic articulation of the deckhouse, in the same way, all of these openings seem to be suspended by the kinetic force of the movement.

OPEN SPACES
From the ample stern platform two staircases with teak steps bring us to the stern cockpit, connected to the spacious bow sunbathing area by two wide, side passageways. All the outside spaces on the Motor Yacht Aicon 82 Open have been conceived and equipped to experience every moment of the cruise in complete relaxation and with the maximum comfort. The cockpit is the ideal place to spend convivial moments sheltered from the wind. There is an ample and comfortable open-air dinette, a sunbathing area.. On the Aicon 82 Open Motor Yacht a multifunctional cabinet fitted with a sink, minifridge and an electric barbecue grill, is arranged so as to accommodate any desire the guests may have.

LIVING AREA

From the stern cockpit through the elegant stainless steel sliding door one enters the living area which is an ample and comfortable environment at the disposal of the boat owner and his guests, characterized by refined interiors, realized with the utmost care and attention to detail in the Aicon tradition. Ample picture windows give a complete view of the sea and assure an abundance of light in this area. The main deck accommodates a large meeting area with an L-shaped sofa and dinette seating eight. Opposite it, in addition to another double seat sofa, there is a hide-away LCD TV and a comfortable, electric bar cabinet equipped with everything for enjoying an aperitif. The comfortable double seat helm station, which is accessorized with the most modern instrumentation technology, is located to the left of the salon. It has an impeccable style, enriched by precious materials such as essence of teak, oak and precious fabrics.

THE SLEEPING QUARTERS
The galley of the new Motor Yacht Aicon 82 Open, located below deck towards bow following the stairs from the main deck, is complete with every comfort, and is characterized by an ample cupboard for storing the kitchenware. The cabins have been conceived so as to guarantee that each area has its own privacy and comfort. Two large openable portholes, which are the stylistic element of the entire Aicon range, light up the master cabin located amidship to take advantage of the full beam. It has a beauty table/desk, an ample wardrobe and an elegant en suite bathroom with a hydro massage shower complete with teak grating. Advancing towards bow, portside and starboardside, there are the two guest cabins with double beds, and ensuite bath rooms, while the Vip cabin with its queen size bed and roomy bathroom is located at the extreme bow. The crew quarters have two cabins (one of which has a double bed) and a separate bathroom. It is located at stern and is accessible by a ramp located inside the vessel to
starboard of the living area. Upon request, it is possible to substitute one of the two cabins with a small galley and dinette area and position a cabin for a hostess in the place usually dedicated to the galley.

43m Leopard Mariellina Superyacht Launched

June 28, 2010

Superyacht Mariellina a 43 metre Leopard motor yacht has been launched in Pisa, Italy. The launch of motor yacht Mariellina is a mile stone in the shipyard’s passage from the Rodriguez Group management to the Picchiotti family. M/Y Mariellina is the first yacht entirely managed by the Leopard Yachts shipyard: It has been sold, built and customised directly by the shipyard to satisfy the owner needs.

The launch of yacht Mariellina coincides with the presentation of the first hull of the new Leopard 43m line. The yacht is the result of the collaboration between the shipyard, the naval architect André Baciugalupo and the interior designer Cristiano Gatto.

The Leopard 43 m motor yacht Mariellina lauching ceremony 26 June 2010 in Italy

The Leopard 43m completes the shipyard’s range with a new concept of a performing and competitive yacht, able to allow its guest to enjoy the open areas in full comfort, thanks to its spacious flybridge.

The Leopard shipyard is ready for the next boat shows season with a new composite range as follows: Leopard 32m, Leopard 34m, Leopard 43m, Leopard 46m, and the Leopard 56m.

“I’m really happy – says CEO Vincenzo Moccia – In such a difficult moment we managed to communicate to the outside world the news that have seen and that will see us as players in the short term:

March 2009: cancellation of the commercial commitment with the Rodriguez Group
June 2009: delivery of a stock yacht to the first direct client
September 2009: direct participation to the first Boat Shows season
April 2010: strategic agreement with the banks
May 2010: M/Y Leopard 43/01 launch: first hull of the new 43m line
June 2010: M/Y Leopard 34/16 launch: first yacht managed directly by the shipyard
July 2010: launch and delivery of M/Y 27/44, second yacht managed directly by the shipyard

The above result has been possible thanks to the dedication of the employees, the workers and the subcontractors, but mostly thanks to the tenacity and the personal and economical commitment of the Picchiotti family who took the risk and are betting on the future.

Superyachts launched in May 2010

June 01, 2010

There have been a number of superyachts launched during May 2010. Here are the biggest and best yachts CharterWorld have featured throughout the month.

The 60 metre Motor Yacht MARY JEAN II launched by ISA Yachts

Perfectly as scheduled, on a rainy morning in mid-May ISA launched the elegant motor yacht Mary-Jean II.

This motor yacht Mary Jean II, designed and built by ISA, 60 metre long with a beam of 12 metres, has been launched at the presence of the owners, Yachting Partners International, who have project managed the construction on the owner’s behalf, the interior designer, Mark Berryman and some of Ancona’s main authorities in addition to ISA’s top management, employees, workers, families and friends.

2010 ISA megayacht Mary Jean II

The 60 metre motor yacht Mary Jean II painted in Aristo hull and Oyster white is simply stunning, a masterpiece of elegance and style, both on the exterior and on the interior design. This beautiful displacement motor yacht utilizes the latest technology, design and Italian craftsmanship. She boasts very elegant lines with an impressive stern. Like any ISA project, the new 60 – metre motor yacht Mary Jean II stands out for its perfect harmony between stretched lines and extremely spacious and comfortable internal areas.

The interior of the superyacht Mary-Jean II, designed by Mark Berryman, has a clean cut contemporary appearance with teak flooring and bulkhead panels acting as a backdrop. Other tactile materials such as the split bamboo panelling and rustic limestone mosaics invite guests to touch and explore different areas onboard the boat. MB finds it important to get the guests/users of an interior space, thinking about their surroundings.

Although the interior has modern, contemporary overtones, there is a feeling of classical elements in certain areas onboard of Mary Jean II, as the boat will be ideally suited to charter market, as she boasts six guest cabins with a relaxed comfortable interior.

The teak backdrop throughout the Mary-Jean II yacht has been punctuated with the introduction of a contrasting wengé wood. Most fabrics are quite neutral in appearance and then accented by more vibrant colours introduced by the Owner’s artwork and complimentary coloured scatter cushions. MB always feels that using and approach like this will help the interior to appeal to a wide variety of tastes (essential for the charter market). It may not be to everyone’s liking, but it does not offend.

With steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the new ISA 600 motoryacht Mary Jean II is built up on 5 decks. Thanks to 2 Caterpillar 3512 C DITA-SCAC diesel engines , this gem of a mega yacht has a max speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

The yacht will be delivered to her Owners in early July and will be exhibited at the imminent edition of the Monaco Yacht Show.

For more information about Mary-Jean II please, contact us at CharterWorld, other wise follow our News section as we will keep you updated about her progress.

First Ferretti CUSTOM LINE 124 Superyacht Launched in Ancona Italy

On a sunny, late spring morning Italian yard Custom Line, a member of the Ferretti Yachts Group, launched the first yacht in their 124’ Custom Line yacht model using the travel-lift system at the Ferretti Group facility in Ancona.

The 37.8m Custom Line 124 superyacht is the new flagship of the Custom Line planning luxury motor yacht fleet. According to the yard the moment that a bottle was broken over the bow keel of the hull, was particularly thrilling, as it symbolised the realisation of the engineering and design work, artisan production and painstaking care the shipyard took over every single detail of this model.

“We are very proud of our ‘new arrival’ and particularly excited about today, which marks the beginning of renewed, further growth for Custom Line”, commented Marco Segato, Custom Line Brand Manager. “A further two units of the 124’ have already been sold, and are currently being built at the Ancona facility, confirming the market’s positive response to this new model, which we will be presenting, as a world première, at the upcoming Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes

The Ferretti Custom Line 124’ motor yacht was designed by architect Gianni Zuccon from Studio Zuccon International Project, who dealt with both the internal and external layouts, working in association with the AYT, Advanced Yacht Technology, Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre. The new launch features a deep blue hull with a white superstructure, with spacious areas inside and out, well-distributed between the main, lower, upper and sun decks of the yacht.

The exterior of the yacht features soaring, light, elegant lines, due to the installation of an extensive glazed surface in order to naturally light the interior. The upper deck is split between the helm station and lounge/dining area, set in a raised position in order to allow total onboard privacy. The model also features large outdoor areas, and the cockpit has a teak table for 10 to 12 guests. Owners can personalise the area by replacing the table with a lounge area, complete with sofas.

Her upper deck features a second open air luncheon area, where a jacuzzi and sundeck can be installed. The bow lounge area, complete with semi-circular sofa, is a true lounge over the sea, to which a number of sun pads have been added for sun lovers. Also for the interior of the superyacht, within the interior of the yacht, Studio Zuccon International Project incorporated spacious areas, including a salon measuring over 50 square metres, the master suite and, on the lower bridge, four large guest cabins.

In all, Ferretti Custom Line 124’ yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests, plus 6 crew members. The yacht can reach a top speed of 27 knots (preliminary data) with the largest MTU engine, 3510hp, and offers the comfort guaranteed by the Mitsubishi Anti Rolling Gyro system, which reduces rolling by over 50%. The extensive range of personalised solutions that the yard is able to offer makes it possible to alter the use of some of the areas, according to the owner’s requests. For example, a fitness area can be installed in place of one of the cabins, or a chrome therapy system in the heads, for a cruise centred on well being.

34 m Superyacht NILAYA launched by Baltic Yachts

The 34 metre super sailing yacht Nilaya has been launched by Baltic Yachts in Finland. On the third of May Finnish yard Baltic Yachts launched the 34.14m sailing yacht Nilaya from their Jakobstad facility. The result of a collaboration between Baltic Yachts, Nauta Yacht Design and Reichel Pugh Yacht Design, the Baltic 112 sailing yacht Nilaya is a superyacht that can deliver high sailing performance for her size with all the pedigree of a stripped-out racer. According to Baltic: “When high performance is high on the priorities, carbon fibre pre-preg composite construction is the obvious way to go.”

Nauta Yacht Design was responsible for the general arrangement a and yacht design lines of luxury yacht Nilaya whilst her naval architecture is the work of Reichel Pugh Yacht Design – the two design houses already have a strong collaboration, having worked together historically on the design of high performance cruiser racers. Yacht Nilaya was the inaugural collaboration between Baltic Yachts and Nauta Yacht Design.

On the partnership, Baltic’s Managing Director Kenneth Nyfelt and Nauta’s CEO issued the statement, ” It has been a real pleasure working together during the three year build period. Also influential in the build process was Nigel Ingram of Marine Construction Management who worked closely on the project management of Nilaya.”

With a displacement of just 90T, Nilaya incorporates a lifting keel which is capable of reducing her maximum draft to 3.5metres from 5.5metres, allowing her to enjoy shallower moorings and cruising grounds.

In addition to this sailing yacht Nilaya offers internal space equal to that of yachts of a higher LOA; featuring a deck house with all-round view, a large owner’s cabin and four large guest cabins. Crew are housed within three cabins in addition to the Captain’s double cabin and she boasts a spacious galley. Much attention has been paid to detail, resulting in a simple, synthetic yet timeless style across all aspects of the yacht. Following her completion she will be exhibited at the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show in September.

There are a handful of Baltic sailing yachts currently available for charter.

The Baltic Yachts superyachts under construction at the Baltic Yachts yard currently include the 66.8m ketch Panamax due 2011, the 51m Baltic 170 sloop, due 2014, and another Baltic 112, due 2011. Here is a link to the Baltic Yachts launched to date.

Superyacht LIVIA  Launched by Moonen Yachts

Moonen Shipyards in the Netherlands has launched yacht LIVIA, the third yacht in its impressive line of 30-metre steel-hulled displacement cruisers. Superyacht Livia is a new Moonen 97 motor yacht which is distinguished from other 97s by a truly original ‘New England/American Beach House’ interior from Art-Line and much else besides.

Moonen 97 Superyacht LIVIA

Motor yacht Livia was styled by René van der Velden, who has created a sleek low-profile exterior with an elegant flared bow, a sloping stern with twin stairways, a graceful sheer line and bold fashion plates. The round-bilged hull from the boards of Diana Yacht Design ensures exceptional comfort at sea, while the economical shaping combines with tankage for some 28,000 litres of fuel to give Livia an impressive transatlantic range.

Yacht owners and guests enjoy the most peaceful of cruises thanks to a comprehensive sound and vibration attenuation programme. In addition to deploying the finest noise-absorbing insulation, Moonen has eliminated vibration at source by giving the yacht’s highly skewed propeller 50 percent more clearance between the blade tip and hull surface.

Superyacht Livia is also exceptionally comfortable at anchor thanks to the installation of advanced Naiad zero-speed stabilizers. Moonen is known for its impeccable engineering and construction, and this Lloyd’s Registered and MCA approved yacht once again proves why.

One of the highlights of luxury yacht Livia’s aluminium superstructure is the efficient flying bridge, part of a clear policy to maximize the pleasures of alfresco living onboard this yacht. The interior offers spacious accommodations for the owners and six guests. The master stateroom boasts a walk-in closet of unusually generous proportions. There is also a delightful VIP stateroom plus two guest suites, all with their own bathrooms.

The Moonen 97 motor yacht is an evolutionary design based on two prior Moonen yachts: The semi-series Moonen 84 and the custom-built Moonen 96 Clementine. The first two Moonen 97s were Darsea and Sofia II, while a fourth model is set for delivery beginning 2011.
