The leading Italian shipyard, Azimut Yachts, will introduce three new models at the next Genoa Boat Show: superyacht Azimut 80, motor yacht Azimut Magellano 53, as well as Azimut Atlantis 50 yacht.

Azimut

This Atlantis new 15-metre yacht represents a real breakthrough and achievement for the company. Indeed, this is the model which has finally ushered Atlantis in as a part of the Azimut Yachts family.

Azimut Yachts has major news in store for the late summer boat shows. In addition to the three new models, the addition of Atlantis among the Azimut Collections and a new communication strategy launch based on Made in Italy, the real cultural asset of Azimut Yachts.

It is a brand already well-known among open cruiser enthusiasts, and one which is going to be joining Azimut Yachts with all that entails. The Atlantis brands will be joined by the Azimut Flybridge, Azimut Magellano, and Azimut S, bringing to a successful conclusion the “merging” of the Atlantis brand with Azimut Yachts. This means that Azimut Yachts can now introduce five collections under one single brand – Azimut Yachts – making it the world’s most extensive range of yachts up to 120 feet.

THE AZIMUT YACHTS COLLECTIONS ARE NOW FIVE
The move marks a continuation in the successful evolution of Azimut Yachts, meaning that the Azimut Yachts can now offer the widest possible range of yachts up to 120 feet under a single brand name.

The Azimut Yachts Collections are now five in number: “Atlantis”, dedicated to the production of Open Sport yachts (six models ranging from 34’ to 58’), “Magellano” a modern Italian interpretation of the classic long range (four models from 43’ to 76’), “Flybridge” which includes the classic flybridge planing models (sixteen models from 40’ to 100’), “S” the fast open line (five models from 40’ to 86’), and “Grande”, customizable yachts of lengths exceeding 100’ (four models from 100’ to 120’). Thirty five models, ranging from the smallest 10 metre boat to the 36 metre superyacht, which confirm Azimut Yachts and the Azimut | Benetti Group as the largest yacht builder in the world.

29 MILIONS OF EUROS TO FOCUS ON “MADE IN ITALY”
The extension of the Azimut Yachts Collections is the result of a specific strategy, that had its main focus on the decision to concentrate the yacht production in Avigliana and Viareggio, main production sites for Azimut Yachts. Beacon that has guided this choice was the decision to focus on the main characteristics of the Azimut brand, first of all being an Italian company, with ownership Italian, Italian craftsmen and Italian design, so the bulwark of the real Made in Italy.

Being Italian is a privilege and the real secret that has allowed Azimut Yachts to become the leading yacht builder in the world.

In this frame, Azimut has launched an investment program for 29 Millions of Euros, on a three years base (2013-2015). These investments over three years (2013-2015), will be used to improve the already excellent production site of Avigliana, that become central after the recent rationalization of production sites, an increase of R&D to propose always new technologically advanced products and finally, the purchase of a new software management system that minimize the time spent managing “administrative” issues reducing any problems and streamlining ON ordering and purchasing and production processes. The aim is to start a process to perfect the production which will improve the profitability, quality of the product and thus safeguard the quality of the work.

The Made in Italy will be the message to be transferred to the public. The aim of the pertinent communication activity will then transmit this philosophy as a positive values carrier (quality, design, sympathy, innovation) and recognized by the market. The new adv campaign “Being Italian” Being Italian therefore signifies proudly exhibiting the cultural roots of the most beautiful Country in the world, one built on a tradition of passion, creativity, a love for beauty and one used as the starting point for the construction of beautiful and innovative yachts loved by owners throughout the five continents.

THREE NEW MODELS AT THE GENOA BOAT SHOW: AZIMUT 80, MAGELLANO 53 AND ATLANTIS 50

Azimut 80: four worlds of wellbeing
The 24-metre Azimut Yachts Flybridge represents a design to embody a lifestyle where comfort and wellbeing merge with a sophisticated and understated elegance. With the success of their prior collaborations in larger models, Stefano Righini exterior design and Achille Salvagni Architetti interior design, team up once again. The result is a design which revolves around four different stylistic proposals, each one distinct in terms of colours and furnishing: Portofino, Dolce Vita, Firenze, and Riviera.

The cockpit with teak decking is very spacious and designed for socialising; it includes a large sofa astern and a dining table for eight. Among the most impressive elements are the two, floor-to-ceiling windows (1.6 m x 2 m. of glass) on the dining room wall which provide incredibly natural light and breathtaking views.

The interior layout includes four cabins (all with bathroom), for a total of eight guests, and an enormous flybridge designed for maximum versatility. The boatowner’s bathroom is particularly dramatic; it is at full-beam, with two entrances located aft of the cabin. It is practically a spa, with a Spa Pool and central glassed-in shower stall, ensuring uninterrupted views from one side of the bathroom to the other.

The engine room has twin MAN 1550 hp engines, for a maximum speed of 29 knots. The fuel tank holds 6,000 litres, while the water tank holds 1,100 litres; option for outfitting with CMC Marine electric fine stabilizers.

Azimut Magellano 53: even greater comfort
The pleasure of sailing, the quest for the greater comfort onboard, the need for bigger storage spaces and higher autonomy during long crossing, all merged with the timeless charm of Italian design: that is the new Magellano collection’s philosophy, interpreted, once again at best, by Azimut with the very last Magellano 53, the new model that will replace the 50’ which has already been sold on the most important markets: USA, Canada, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand and – obviously- Europe.

Bigger spaces allows Azimut designer to place in the aft part a crew cabin considerably spacious, as well as to transform the cockpit in an actual terrace (over 13 sqm wide). The Magellano 53 offers three cabins for up to six guests, as well as a high pantry in with enough space to allocate supplies, equipment and, occasionally, an extra emergency bed.

The internal décor is a mix between the warm shades of the leather and the Canaletto Walnut; at shipowners’ disposal, a wide range of materials to choose from, for the ultimate customization.

The Dual Mode semi-displacement hull, designed by Bill Dixon exclusively for the Magellano collection, ensures a smooth navigation, even with head sea, reducing the pitch’s width and naturally diminishing the impact in the waves.

Azimut Atlantis 50: the new sporty coupé
Azimut Atlantis 50 includes a series of innovations which have been carefully detailed (yet again) by the brilliant Neo Design team, rendering the yacht even more versatile and exciting. With the doors opened, the Coupé’s maindeck is transformed as well in a fully living space, totally equipped. Astern, there is a comfortable sunbath area and the swimming platform, when lifted, gives the possibility of housing a tender up to 2.4 metres in the underlying garage. The cockpit’s design, includes a table built into the sunbathing platform. The hardtop is electrically operated.

The Atlantis 50 accommodates four to six guests, with the option of adding a third cabin instead of the dinette. There are two spacious cabins, a Master and VIP amidships at full-beam; each is equipped with a large double bed, two closets, and private entrance to a bathroom with a separate show stall. Both cabins are especially light filled thanks to the picture windows and skylights.

The Atlantis 50 is equipped with twin Cummins 600Hp engines; these make it possible to reach maximum speeds of 32 knots, and cruising speeds of 29 knots.
