ASAP created this event at the request of the Town and the Port of Antibes.

Antibes Celebrates Yachting is THE new yachting event in Antibes launching the new yachting season 2015.

Pascal Paoli, Director of the Port Vauban, Maurice Carrette, Co-President of the trade Association Antibes Coeur d’Azur and the rest of the ACY Organising Committee* were equally present at the conference.

Confirmation of the ACY!

The event will take place on the Bastion Saint Jaume with the participation of some fourty companies (to date). They will present their products and services, some will organise animations or meetings between crew management agencies and captains, stews or people involved in the industry. Thanks to MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) the Bastion St Jaume will welcome 15 yachts between 15 and 30m and around 20 yachts from 30 m up on the IYCA. It is a great asset for the ASAP to have their support and participation.

Focused on conviviality of professional meetings, the event will offer some strong moments such as the Friday night BBQ or the Saturday morning “English Breakfast” which will be offered to crew members and participants of the event.

The gala dinner on Saturday night for Captains and Directors of Yachting related companies will take place in the very prestigious Villa Eilenroc on the Cap d’Antibes. The City of Antibes has put the villa at the ASAP’s disposal for one evening. A perfect time to create new relationships and to reinforce old ones. The idea of the 2015 ACY is based on conviviality. This two day event is primarily intended to favour trade and professional meetings in a warm atmosphere, tailored to the needs of each. Professional visitors will be able to purchase a badge for 20 Euros. Expected visitors : from 500 to 1000 daily. The general public is admitted for free, even though the event is focused on businesses only.

The Association Antibes Coeur d’Azur is compiling a listing of shop owners, restaurants and cafes from Antibes who wish to participate in the event.

About fifty have so far proposed to grant reduced rates or special offers for visitors and participants of the ACY. A great opportunity to strengthen the interactivity between the City and the Port.

A demonstration of solidarity in the yachting world for a dynamic relaunch.

It is thanks to because of the general movement of solidarity driven by ASAP and its members, who are marine professionals, that the event can take place. In answer to this call, the entire

Yachting community demonstrates its importance and vitality.

“Antibes is a nucleus in the yachting world, therefore a year without a yachting event was not an option” The Town now considers ASAP as their ‘consultant’ in yachting matters.

What about 2016?

Although all the efforts are now concentrated on completing the budget for 2015, the organizers cannot help but think about the future.

The town of Antibes and the Port have clearly expressed that it will take this year’s results, as well as the analyses and advises of the ASAP in order to take a fair decision about the continuation of the yachting event in Antibes.

There is a general determination to continue having a yachting event in Antibes at the beginning of the season and the aim is to have a larger-scale event with international reputation in Antibes from 2016 on.

So save the date, come and celebrate Yachting in Antibes on April 24th and 25th on the Bastion St Jaume, the Port Vauban and the IYCA!
