Andrew Weir Yacht Management was selected to provide various services for the 87m motor yacht ACE (Project Rocky), designed by renowned Andrew Winch. Launched by the prestigious German shipyard Lurssen in January 2012, ACE superyacht visited Portland Harbour the other week.

A call to the London offices of AWYM saw all hands on deck for the imminent arrival of megayacht ACE on the Dorset coast. With the owners arrival already planned AWYM had to make sure that all was in place for the hand over.
“Getting everything ready and with limited time we had quite a number of challenges to accomplish” commented Daniel Taylor from Andrew Weir.
With military precision and working in conjunction with Portland Port AWYM made sure that the ACE superyacht was received and the berthing and mooring arrangements were in place.
“Once moored up on the quayside we organised delivery of final stores and certain items the owner wanted on board” further commented Taylor.
With regard to the crew AWYM went out of their way to organise crew transport and car hire and finally a limousine for the owner.
“With everything in place we received the new owner without any hiccups, this is a credit to the staff at Andrew Weir Yacht Management” added Daniel Taylor.
