The owners have been central to this talented team, bringing their own ideas and significant experience to the process, adding challenge and momentum.

In close collaboration with Redman Whiteley Dixon, who were the interior designers and exterior stylists, Dubois Naval Architect developed the hull and deck layout, sail plan, naval architecture, aluminium structure and propulsion layout into a perfectly integrated package.

Yacht Twizzle’s ‘green’ credentials are particularly commendable. She is certified to the highest standards for operation in the world’s most sensitive marine environments, including Alaska.

Further demonstrating their commitment to the quality of the ocean environment, Twizzle‘s thoughtful owners have put in place a policy to off-set the carbon emissions of all her fuel use. All greenhouse gas emissions arising from Twizzle’s forthcoming cruising programme will be balanced, tonne for tonne, by compensating emissions savings from green energy projects.

Sailing yacht Twizzle is actually the second Dubois design to be built by Royal Huisman Shipyard. The first was a 42ft racing yacht built way back in 1978! It has been a long wait for us to have the pleasure of working with this wonderful organisation again.
