The hybrid propulsion system (diesel/electric), the beating heart of the Wider 150’ superyacht, guarantees very low consumption and an Atlantic range.

This system is entirely modular. Indeed, the Wider 150 yacht has a range of around 8 hours and 56 miles distance when running on the electric engines powered by the batteries only, with all the on board appliances in use. If the diesel groups are used, on the other hand, and the engines fed in this way, a further three different speeds and relative ranges can be attained. In addition, by combining the diesel groups with the electric engines and adding the diesel boosters, Wider 150’ can reach an extraordinary top speed of over 20 knots.

Moreover, the choice of the composite construction makes the structure lightweight, contributing to further lowering consumption, whilst the semi-planing hull offers unquestionable added value in terms of high speed and a greater range.

A prime example of this is the 33’ Wider yacht tender, housed in the transom and tailor made to guarantee comfort for the owner even when away from the mother ship. She has a “floating launching system”, allowing her simply to sail in and out of the floating yacht. The space that is ‘magically’ created when the tender is launched becomes a salt water swimming pool that can also be covered over should the owner so wish, to become a dance floor for unforgettable parties on board.

Two wings open from the sides of the transom to form, together with the aft platform, an incredibly spacious Wider beach, allowing unparalleled direct access to the sea.
The forward area has been designed to house two additional tenders and a covered garage that can accommodate two jet skis or alternatively a Tesla Roadster, the well-known electrically powered sports car. This area of the maxi yacht is also noteworthy for its incredible versatility, and the deck above the tenders can be raised to the top of the bulwarks to become a touch ‘n’ go helipad upon request.
