Saint Barths Bucket Regatta 2010 to start tomorrow from the from March 25th to March 28th.

The St-Barts-Bucket-Race  is one of the most popular and prestigious invitational sailing yacht races in the Caribbean. Perini Navi, Pendennis, Fitzroy, Dubois, Alloy Yachts, Palmer Johnson, Farr, Swan, Vitters, Royal Huisman are just some of the designs_and_builds that can be seen during the race which will include 40 of the world’s finest yachts.

To meet the increasing performance of the boats and to prevent congestion the race course is developed over approximately 28-30 miles compared to the 22mile course set in previous years.
 
The schedule of events includes the Skipper’s meeting and Fleet Welcome Party on March 25th. The first day of racing is scheduled for March 26th with the around the Island Race ehich is an anti-clockwise circuit around the island of St. Barths and Île Fourche. The second day consists of the  Wiggly Course which is a route that extends around Fregade Île and Île Fourche on the 27th of March.  The final race on the 28t of March is “The Wrong Way Around Course” which is a clockwise circuit around the island of St. Barths, followed by the award ceremony and cocktail party.

 Perini-Navi has confirmed they will attend the 2010 Saint Barths Bucket Regatta. Their list of entries include the superyachts: P2 (38m)  HELIOS (45m) ANTARA (46m) ANDOMEDA_LE_DEA (47m) BARACUDA  (50m) SALUTE (56m) and RIELA 56m.
