The Tower Hamlets Council has given its permission to the 170m motor yacht Aquiva, one of the world’s largest vessels to moor permanently near the Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf. Aquiva superyacht should become one of the best luxury hotels in London for the next 50 years.

Luxury seven-deck yacht Aquiva will offer accommodation to more than 300 guests in 181 rooms and will feature two restaurants, bars, a ballroom, business function rooms, a heath spa, a gym, floating shops and an executive lounge with an outdoor water feature Spa Pool after her 24-month completion.

Sit 23m above the water line and with her fantastic 170 metres in length over all, she will be 15m longer than the Barclays HQ Tower and even longer than the 147m Roman Abramovich´s £200m Chelsea superyacht.

The equivalent of one and a half football pitches mega yacht Aquiva should be moored at South Dock in time for the 2012 London Olympics as her Owners desire.
