Peter J Spooner. Luxury Motor Yacht Captain. British.

Peter has over sixteen years experience as a captain and has accumulated qualifications including his MCA 3000 ton license and also a 500 ton unlimited commercial qualification in New Zealand. He has extensively cruised the Pacific Ocean, Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas. During that time Peter has become an accomplished game fisherman and his skills at this sport have earned him a place as a representative to the International Game Fishing Association. Peter also likes to relax while reading a good book, listening to music, or strumming tunes on his guitar. With his knowledge and experience, Peter aims to provide an enjoyable and friendly time onboard Sarita Si.

Jonathan G Mercado. Luxury Yacht First Officer.

Jonathan was born in New York, USA. Involved for many years in sailboat sailing and racing, he gave up city life to become a professional in the yachting industry. He has completed an assortment of safety courses as well as his MCA Yacht Master Offshore qualification. Jonathan enjoys reading, travelling and sailing.

Jacob joined Sarita Si 2008. He offers an enthusiasm that blends well with the positive attitude of the entire crew. He was born and grew up in South Africa where he studied Nutrition and Sports Science and Sports Management as well as coached for six years. He is a keen sportsman, enjoying a variety of sport, especially Rugby.

Tanya Johnson. Purser. South African.

Tanya joined Sarita Si Ft Lauderdale, Florida USA. Tanya has been working on boats for eight years and throughout that time has enjoyed travelling to various parts of the world. She is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys all forms of water sports, camping and hiking. Her love of travelling provides Tanya with the passion to research and organize all manner of activities for the enhancement of your experience aboard “Sarita Si”.

Sarita Si has a crew of 10 who have been brought together for their “can do” attitude and their genuine enthusiasm for assuring that guests have a memorable experience onboard. They have a high sense of responsibility and safety awareness and participate in ongoing training programmes aboard the yacht. The varied cultures and backgrounds of the crew has resulted in a dedicated team who provide and exciting and friendly atmosphere.
