Being built by the Vuyk & Zonen Scheepswerven Bv (Inactive) yard in the Netherlands the WEGA is 60 metre 196 (foot) in length. Superyacht WEGA is able to accommodate up to 18 guests with 12 qualified crew. The yacht is a classic twin masted schooner. She can attain a top speed of 13.7 knots.

In 1968 she was formally launched with accolade in Capelle A/D Ijssel and following sea trials and detailing was thereafter handed over to the owner who commissioned her. Vuyk & Zonen Scheepswerven Bv (Inactive) completed their new build sailing yacht in the Netherlands. A spacious area is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 10.6 metres / 34.75 ft. With a 3.7m (12.15ft) draught (maximum depth) she is deep. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is built from steel. In 2005 further refitting and modernisation was in addition finished.
