Luxury M/Y Trident has lines resembling her slightly smaller sister ship, the 60 metre motor yacht Blue Moon. TRIDENT blends a classic Feadship flared bow with modern touches like her semi-circular extensions with glass bulwarks on the aft decks. An impressive feature of M/Y Trident is her elevator allowing guests to travel up through the entire yacht to the sun deck. Motor yacht TRIDENT has a full beam master stateroom and a further seven luxurious suites to accommodate a total of 14 guests. She has 18 crew members.

De Voogt Naval Architects was the naval architect involved in the formal nautical plans for TRIDENT. Her interior design was realised by Donald Starkey Designs. De Voogt Naval Architects and Donald Starkey Designs is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. Built at The Feadship Royal Van Lent Shipyard the vessel was constructed in the yacht producing country of the Netherlands. She was successfully launched in Kaag in 2009 before being delivered to the owner. Her main hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated extensively using aluminium.
