She is a recent explorer style (expedition) yacht. The private boat was envisaged from a naval architect called Pendennis and Liebowitz & Pritchard Architects. Liebowitz & Pritchard Architects was involved in the interior design and styling.

The yacht's wider design collaboration came from Pendennis and Liebowitz & Pritchard Architects. The professional naval architect firm drawings are a work of Pendennis. Motor Yacht STEEL received her elegant interior designing from the interior design skills of Liebowitz & Pritchard Architects. Created at Pendennis the vessel was built in the country of the United Kingdom. She was successfully launched in Falmouth, Cornwall in 2008 before being delivered to the owner. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned from aluminium.
