Building & Designing of Luxury Yacht PREDICTION

Diana Yacht Design was the naval architecture company involved in the professional vessel design work for PREDICTION. Her interior design was completed by Felix Buytendijk/Struik & Hamerslag. Diana Yacht Design and Felix Buytendijk is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this boat. Built by Hakvoort Shipyard the vessel was built within the Netherlands. She was successfully launched in Monnickendam in 1991 before being delivered to the owner. Her hull was crafted from steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated mostly with aluminium. With a width of 8.78 metres or 28.8 feet PREDICTION has fairly large size. A fairly shallow draught of 2.8m (9.2ft) determines the amount of ports she can visit, contingent on their individual depth. She had refit improvement and modification completed by 2007.

Powered by twin CATERPILLAR diesel engines, PREDICTION can attain a top speed of 15 knots. PREDICTION is propelled by twin screw propellers. She also has an efficient range of 4000 miles whilst underway at her cruising speed of 13 knots. Her total HP is 1550 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1141. Concerning bow thrusters she was fitted with Dahne. As for the yacht’s stabalisers she uses Vosper.
