OCEAN MERCURY is ex project/yacht name (Sl39 Mk1). This 39 metre (128 foot) luxury yacht was created at The Feadship De Vries Shipyard in 2008. Motor Yacht OCEAN MERCURY is a well proportioned superyacht. She could be described as a recent full displacement yacht. The naval architect which delivered the design work for this ship is De Voogt Naval Architects. The original interior is by Terence Disdale Design / Sdsi. The Feadship OCEAN MERCURY was the first SL39 series launched. The SL39 is the second semi-custom series by Feadship, the first series was the F45 Vantage at the Royal Van Lent yard. Both series offer a range of different interior styles, and with the SL39, clients can also choose from a range of different exterior styles.

Build & Naval Architecture for Luxury Yacht OCEAN MERCURY

De Voogt Naval Architects was the naval architecture company involved in the professional superyacht design work for OCEAN MERCURY. Also the company De Voogt Naval Architects successfully collaborated on this project. Interior designer Terence Disdale Design / Sdsi was employed for the internal internal styling. the Netherlands is the country that The Feadship De Vries Shipyard completed their new build motor yacht in. After the formal launch in 2008 in Aalsmeer the boat was released to the yacht owner following sea trials and testing. A fairly large proportion is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 9.1 metres / 29.86 feet. With a 2.75m (9.02ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is built with the use of aluminium.

The 12V 2000 M70 engine installed in the motor yacht is made by MTU. For propulsion OCEAN MERCURY has twin screw propellers (5 blades fixed pitch). The main engine of the yacht gives 1055 horse power (or 788 kilowatts). She is fitted with 2 engines. The sum output for the boat is thus 2110 HP / 1576 KW. As far as stabalisers are concerned she uses Quantum Zero Speed Non-Retractable.
