SUNDAY Benetti 60 Superyacht

If you have any questions about the SUNDAY information page below please contact us.

Motor Yacht SUNDAY is an elegant and striking vessel, built by renowned Italian luxury yacht builder Benetti and launched in 2006. Superyacht SUNDAY boasts aerodynamic lines with exterior design and styling by Stefano Natucci and luxurious interiors by Sophocle Emmanouilidis and Studio IPSO.

The ocean liner ‘Normandy’, launched in 1932, represents the inspiration for SUNDAY’s interior, featuring stunning Art Deco design. The interior can be described as spacious, radiating warmth, elegance and style. Carefully selected art works have been used to achieve a bright and soft atmosphere. Accommodation on board luxury yacht SUNDAY is provided to 12+2 guests, with the full-beam Owner’s suite situated forward on the main deck. From the main deck a wide staircase curves down to the main guest accommodation and crew quarters on the lower deck. The VIP cabin is situated on the upped deck.

There is a comfortable and elegant saloon on the main deck and a second one on the upper deck, offering wonderful space for relaxation or socialising. The hallway is uncluttered, with a voluptuous glass female torso dominating this area. White onyx flooring with stainless steel geometrical batters were used in the main saloon and comfortable sofas and armchairs invite guests to unwind and relax. One of the main features of the saloon are the custom-made lamps by Schmidt, Paris, representing a private art collection of the Owner; as well as the custom made furniture by Craman Lagarde.

The beauty of SUNDAY superyacht lies in the details. In the saloon there are numerous extraordinary objects: two matching cupboards with panels of leather, the double doors to the aft deck are encased in plexiglass flank; a pair of metal sculptures divide the sitting area from the dining table; and pastels from Notero, an unusual cigar humidor and many small art works, all act together to create a head spinning visual feast.

The Owner’s study aboard luxury superyacht SUNDAY boasts a double-faced desk placed in front of an unique graved wall map in yellow gold illustrating the Mediterranean basin and its important monuments and cites made by Parisian Artist Mireille Herbst ALM Decor. The Owner’s suite is warm and less formal with off-white leather panels and 4 stainless steel women figures custom made by Schmidt, Paris, representing the four seasons on the walls. His and Hers en suite bathrooms can be found to the sides of the main cabin. Her bathroom is exceptionally elegant, boasting metallic women’s figures on the marble walls. A grand stair case opposite the bed leads into a comfortable private sitting area with panoramic views.

The upper deck saloon boasts Philippe Stark metal stools around the bar area within easy reach of a flip-top gaming table and four chairs by Donghia. Six curved glass doors retract fully to provide easy access to the aft deck and panoramic view for guests dining at the round table. Forward of the upper saloon is the VIP cabin featuring an en suite bathroom in a different style to the lower deck guest accommodation. A beautiful onyx bathroom completes the luxury and pampering in this suite.

Motor Yacht SUNDAY’s lower deck offers guests four cabins accommodating eight people, with superb en suite bathrooms promising luxury and comfort. Here we can also see an unusual use of stainless steel in the skirting boards and three-tier covering in all the guest cabins. The elegant curves and clarity in the parallel horizontal lines reproduce the Streamline Modern style of the late Art Décor period.

Positive Customer Review: "One of the most memorable parts for me was the launch. I went with my wife, and Benetti had a Roman Catholic priest bless the yacht. It was very beautiful with all the Italian music and then the British national anthem, and it was all very unexpected. I thought I was just going to be putting the boat in the water, but in fact it turned into a very emotional day!" - Owner of a Benetti called motor yacht 11:11
