Launched in 2014, motor yacht WHISPER (Kismet, Project GLOBAL) is an outstanding and elegant 95-metre vessel, built with utmost attention to detail by the prominent German manufacturer, Lurssen. The mega yacht boasts harmonious lines, designed by the world-renowned and well-respected designer, Espen Oeino, while her opulent and striking interior design was created by equally respected Reymond Langton studio. Kismet accommodates 12 guests in 7 cabins.

WHISPER'S NOTABLE FEATURES: ~ Owner’s Private Deck ~ Main deck piano lounge ~ Fireplaces ~ Cinema Room/Sports Bar ~ Comprehensive Beauty Spa ~ Sauna ~ Fully Equipped Gymnasium ~ Jacuzzi and Pool ~ Helicopter Pads ~ Basketball Court ~ DJ Station ~ Barbecue ~ Fabulous Indoor/Outdoor Dining Areas

She was constructed as a replacement vessel for her Owner’s previous award-winning 68-metre Kismet. When launched in 2014, she was well ahead of her time when it came to her engineering, while ensuring her excellent entertainment capacities and ultra-luxurious amenities for her owner, family and guests.

In 2015, she was awarded the best “Motor Yacht of above 75 metres LOA” at the prestigious World Superyacht Awards, further underlining her exceptional design, naval architecture and overall workmanship by all involved.

Thanks to her awe-inspiring dimensions and carefully designed layout, KISMET offers amazing spaces for entertainment and relaxation, both on the inside as well as around her exterior decks. The various deck facilities include an open fireplace, several lounging and dining areas on three different decks, comprising one with a fully equipped BBQ, an oval-shaped swimming pool with integrated Jacuzzi on the sun deck, as well as a very private observation deck overlooking it all.

Perhaps the most notable deck area aboard is the fabulous sun deck. This area has been designed with a large dining table for al fresco dinners or lunches, placed close to the barbecue. The entire area can be protected with screens against sea breeze or for additional privacy. Forward of this area is the massive oval pool with a Jacuzzi further forward.

A private observation deck and sunbathing area offer privacy and tranquillity to escape the rest of the yacht; a perfect place to read a book or enjoy the changing horizons. In the evening this area transforms into an entertainment spot with a DJ station and plenty of lounging/seating possibilities.

The interiors are modern and rich, inspired by the Art Deco era, boasting beautiful lighting works, and plenty of artwork. Custom-made furniture pieces are placed throughout the entire vessel, offering not only a pleasing visual experience but also exceptional comfort for guests on board. Great attention was paid to every single detail on board providing guests with ultimate luxury and a sense of grandeur.

One of the most notable features on the interior is the spectacular main deck piano lounge with a double-height ceiling, sweeping stairwell and huge light walls. The elegant formal dining room is another spectacular area that offers seating for all guests on board and boasts a fire place to add to the warm and elegant overall ambiance.

Some elements of the external design such as the stainless steel air inlets at the rear of the funnels were inspired by the Chicago skyline.

Espen Oeino says “We tried to capture and combine elegance in the longitudinal plane with more aggressive edgy lines in the transverse plane, also playing with the colour scheme by using the hull colour on parts of the superstructure." Exceptional features include a lockable private observation platform with a ‘star bed’, overlooking the Sun Deck. This deck has a swimming pool with an integrated Jacuzzi forward whose aft-end forms the skylight of the lift shaft, all tied together in a waterfall arrangement.

Following a great workout session in the fully-equipped gymnasium, guests can relax and indulge in the private wellness spa, with an ice fountain, a sauna, massage facilities or a hairdressing room. There is also a helicopter pad on the bridge deck, which transforms into a massive guest area with occasional furniture and sun awnings. This is a fantastic place to entertain large groups, be it family gatherings or corporate events. In addition, it can be transformed into an amazing outdoor cinema under the starry skyline. At-anchor and underway stabilisers offer guests even more comfort. The yacht is serviced by a carefully chosen and highly-trained crew of 28 that includes a masseuse, a beautician, a hair stylist and a yoga teacher.

Made of steel and aluminium, she can achieve a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Lloyd's registered and MCA compliant, she boasts an impressive beam of 13,8m (45'3'').

A Little More About The Builder:

During the summer of 1875, the 24-year-old boat builder Friedrich Lürssen laid the foundation stone for the family-run company, which is today among the world’s leading luxury yacht manufacturers. It has more than 1,000 highly qualified staff at its Bremen site and is among Europe’s most renowned systems and equipment traders for new naval ship construction. Over the years, Lürssen has manufactured more than 13,000 boats and ships – all at Bremen shipyards or their North German sister shipyards within the group.

“The history of the shipyard is still closely linked to our own family history and that of many of our staff. The family and staff’s genuine identification with the shipyard business and an informal company structure with tight employee loyalty have always been supporting pillars of our success. In addition to technical expertise and practical skills, high levels of flexibility and strength of innovation among our workforce have been the decisive drivers of growth in our shipyard business as a speciality supplier of high-technology ship construction since the beginning.” - Friedrich Lürssen, who manages the North Bremen company with his cousin Peter Lürssen.

"I once had a client who told me, “I will put your name on the side of my boat if it’s good, but if the boat is not good, your name will appear three times as big.” We were brought up with the sense that it is a very personal obligation for the family when we sign a contract to deliver a yacht that the client expects. I cannot go to a client and say “One of my guys made a mistake.” He would say “Is he Mr. Lürssen, or are you Mr. Lürssen?” But a successful delivery is also a great reward. I take the relationships of my clients very personally." - Peter Lürssen of Lürssen Yachts (courtesy SuperYachtTimes)
