The motor yacht MARCO POLO is a 45 m 147 (foot) capacious steel vessel which was built at Cheoy Lee Shipyards and devised by Kasia Milewska and Ron Holland Design. Launched in the year of 2006 her interior decoration promulgates the capabilities of the design work of Kca International Interior Architects.

MARCO POLO was the first of the Marco Polo Series was delivered by Maritime Concept and Construction Hong Kong Ltd (MCC) at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. The final result has fulfilled MCC's goal of creating a European quality yacht in China. She is a high quality explorer vessel that is truly efficient in long range transoceanic voyages. She has an olive green coloured steel hull. MARCO POLO was featured by The Yacht Report as one of the year’s significant launches and winner of the 2008 ShowBoats International award for "Best New Series over 40 Meters".

Building & Yacht Design relating to Luxury Yacht MARCO POLO

Kasia Milewska was the naval architect firm involved in the technical superyacht design work for MARCO POLO. Her interior design was realised by Kca International Interior Architects. Kasia Milewska and Ron Holland Design is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this boat. In 2006 she was formally launched with celebration in Doumen and post sea trials and final completion was then passed on to the owner who commissioned her. Cheoy Lee Shipyards completed their new build motor yacht in China. The hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated predominantly using composite. With a beam of 9.2 m or 30.2 feet MARCO POLO has fairly large interior. A shallow draught of 2.9m (9.6ft) limits the list of overall ports she can visit, depending on their individual depth.

Installed with a single CATERPILLAR diesel engines, MARCO POLO will attain a top speed of 15 knots. Coupled to the MARCO POLO engines are a single screw propeller variable pitch. She also has an efficient range of 3300 miles when motoring at her cruise speed of 13 knots. Her total HP is 1911 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1240. Regarding thrusters she was fitted with Schottel / Stern: Hps. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she was built with Naiad.
