The sailing yacht KAORI is a 38 m 125 (ft) well proportioned aluminium luxury yacht which was built by Palmer Johnson Yachts and her design plans were devised by Ernest Brierley and Chuck Paine. Sleeping 6 passengers and 5 qualified crew, sailing yacht KAORI was formerly named Mandalay. She is a modern motor sailer. This gracious superyacht was created by naval architects Ernest Brierley and Chuck Paine. Jane Plachter undertook the interior design.

The New Build & Design of Luxury Yacht KAORI

Ernest Brierley was the naval architect firm involved in the formal nautical design work for KAORI. Her interior design was completed by Jane Plachter. Ernest Brierley and Chuck Paine is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. Created by Palmer Johnson Yachts this yacht was completed in the United States. She was officially launched in Sturgeon Bay WI in 1992 before being transferred to the owner. The core hull was built out of aluminium. The sailing yacht superstructure component is made largely from aluminium. With a width of 8.6 metres / 28.2 ft KAORI has spacious internal space. She has a reasonably deep draught of 3.05m (10ft). She had refit maintenance and alteration work undertaken by 2009.
