A General Description of Sailing Yacht INSULINDE

This 37 metre (120 foot) luxury yacht was manufactured at Custom in 1931. Sailing Yacht INSULINDE is a well sized superyacht. She is a classic twin masted schooner motor sailer. Luxury yacht INSULINDE is a quality yacht that can sleep up to 17 guests on board and has a total of 6 crew members.

Sailing yacht Insulinde was originally built in 1931 in Belgium, as "Zeilogger". The 120 feet (37m) long sailing yacht "Insulinde" was a vessel which combined grace and speed and was subsequently put to good use as a "packer" racing fresh catches from the Icelandic fishing grounds to the great coastal cities of Europe. Following a period of mixed use and some neglect the "Insulinde" was completely restored in Enkhuizen, Holland in 1987 and fitted with 9 two person cabins, including a couple of honeymoon suites. The ship, while not luxurious, is most comfortable and very well maintained. Safety has a high priority, and the ship is certified with the Dutch Shipping Inspection for worldwide voyaging with passengers.

In 1931 she was actually launched with triumph in Ostend and following sea trials and detailing was afterwards handed over to the owner. Custom completed their new build sailing yacht in Belgium. A reasonable area is manifested with a total beam (width) of 6.1 metres / 20 feet. With a 4.27m (14ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly deep. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is fashioned with the use of steel. Over the deck of INSULINDE she is 29.26 (96 ft) in length. In 1988 further refit work and modernisation was additionally performed.
