A Summary of Motor Yacht HURRICANE RUN

The motor yacht HURRICANE RUN is a 54 metre 176 (ft) noteworthy steel boat which was at The Feadship De Vries Shipyard and devised in the office of De Voogt Naval Architects. The naval architecture office whom authored her design details on this ship is De Voogt Naval Architects. The interior design was sucessful creation of Terence Disdale Design.

Hurricane Run was built by the same owners as motor yacht High Chaparral. The design brief was to create something new that further enhanced the Feadship look, with a more contemporary interior. Hurricane Run is 3.50 meters longer and incorporated and optimized the best aspects of High Chaparral. Like High Chaparral, Hurricane Run is named after a prize winning race horse. The equine Hurricane Run won the coveted Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe by two lengths in 2005 and received countless other awards. This horse was one of the best the world has ever seen, commented build captain Andy Davies. It is very fitting that this masterpiece of a yacht has the same name – she too must be one of the best in the world and this is down to the care, attention, dedication and hard work of her builders. Feadship can be very proud of what it has achieved here.

Quick Enquiry

“The way we design, is we design fully custom, fully unique yachts, we start with a blank piece of paper and we start asking the client how they use the boat, what they want to do on board, what kind of experience they have but we also want input on what kind of styling they like... It’s about getting to learn about the owner and how they want to use the boat.” - Ronno Schouten, Design Manager of De Voogt Naval Architects
