Abeking & Rasmussen was the naval architect involved in the technical vessel design work for CASTOR. Abeking & Rasmussen is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. In 1962 she was actually launched to triumph in Lemwerder and following sea trials and final completion was thereafter handed over to the owner who commissioned her. Abeking & Rasmussen Yachts (Schiffs-Und Yachtwerft ) completed their new build motor yacht in Germany. Her main hull was crafted from wooden. The motor yacht superstructure is made mostly with wood.
