The Shipyard Work & Yacht Design with respect to Luxury Yacht BIG D

Jack Hargrave was the naval architect firm involved in the professional vessel design work for BIG D. Also the company Jack Hargrave successfully collaborated on this undertaking. Interior designer Pierre Tanter was selected for the creative internal ambience. Japan is the country that Hitachi Zosen rp constructed their new build motor yacht in. After her formal launch in 1986 in Kanagawa she was thereafter handed over to the yacht owner following sea trials and testing. A spacious feeling is brought about with a widest beam (width) of 8.78 metres / 28.8 feet. With a 2.53m (8.3ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly shallow. The material aluminium was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is built with the use of aluminium. In 2008 extra refit work and modernisation was in addition performed.
