New Build & Designing for Luxury Yacht BIG CHANGE

Alucraft was the naval architect firm involved in the technical vessel design work for BIG CHANGE. Alucraft is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. In 1986 she was actually launched with celebration in Istanbul and post sea trials and final completion was then passed on to the new owner. Proteksan Yat Ve Gemi n Tic As completed their new build motor yacht in Turkey. A reasonable proportion is manifested with a maximum beam (width) of 7.59 metres or 24.9 ft. With a 2.65m (8.7ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created from aluminium. In 2008 further refit work and modernisation was also performed.

Installed with two CATERPILLAR diesel engines, BIG CHANGE will reach a top speed of 12 knots. Coupled to the BIG CHANGE engines are twin screw propellers. She also has an efficient range of 2600 nautical miles whilst sailing at her cruise speed of 10 knots. Her total HP is 820 HP and her total Kilowatts are 603. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she utilises Koopnautic.
