According to Mythology, Arethusa was one of the 50 Nereids, who were the daughters of Nereus (the old man of the sea), and the Oceanid Doris. These beautiful women were always friendly and helpful towards sailors fighting perilous storms and the treacherous sea. They tried to slow the winds and the tempests down and did everything possible to make the sailors’ journey fast and easy.

The Build & Naval Architecture of Luxury Yacht ARETHUSA

Turhan Soyaslan was the naval architecture company involved in the formal superyacht design work for ARETHUSA. Also the company Turhan Soyaslan expertly worked on this venture. Interior designer Michael Leach Design was commissioned for the internal internal ambience. In 2008 she was formally launched to triumph in Mies and post sea trials and finishing touches was then passed on to the owner who commissioned her. Nereids Yachts completed their new build motor yacht in Switzerland. A fairly large area is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 9 metres or 29.52 feet. With a 2.65m (8.69ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned from steel.
